I have the same oven and it quit working Christmas Day 2024. Same problem even! Just ordered the replacement so hopefully it fixes it.

I have no mechanical skills, but thanks to your well organized video, I was able to replace successfully this oven's igniter. I couldn't have done it without you. Have a pie on me!

Can I charge a ca1240 12v 4ah alarm battery? Let me know and what type of charger I should use. thank you.

what should the battery be charged to mine is stopping at 12.3 to 13v but i put it back into my jump pack and it still says low. i plug in the charger with it and it still has a low light.
@danc20145 күн бұрын
I would never drain a battery to perform a test. Lead acid batteries will be degraded if they are drained past 50% and may not charge again. So now you will need that jump box and a new battery.

Silly question as I’m new to this I want to connect two batteries on a motorcycle the reason why is often a heated accessory is left in and kills the battery then stranded so let’s say it takes 1 hour to kill the battery and the motorcycle is dead if I had two batteries it would last longer say 2 hours till it died? Meaning have more chance of saving it before it died?
@mtthwjhnsn344 күн бұрын
Correct, however on my motorcycle I connected the positive wire of the 12v port to a power source that is only active when the ignition is on, like a wire from the headlight or another accessory circuit, and connect the negative wire to a grounded point on the motorcycle frame; essentially, tapping into an existing ignition-controlled circuit to power the heated gear or anything else so you wouldn't drain the battery in the first place :)

Great diagram and explanation. Just fitted a new starter to my son's car, sometimes it works as it should, another time starter spins but it seams that the cogs don't engage. Is this possible?

Has anyone found videos of people doing this in Australia?
🤔 so in my old trailer park engineering ways, I got a light, and what’s essentially a 10’ extension cord with no female plug, just white black and green wire, wired straight to the white black and bare ground wires in the light, it’s plugged into a surge protector. 2 reasons, I’m in an apartment and my landlord would shit if I went off and modernized the lights 😂, and two, I’ve been using solar lights and the same Aa energizers for almost 20 years. Had a car battery sitting around, got a solar panel, it sits in the window held up with a tension curtain rod 😉 nothing permanent all movable, I charge all kinds of batteries and made my moms old lamp completely overkill fancy pretty just because it’s almost 2025 and I don’t like the idea of turning on a light switch every time I turn around, also, I don’t get a lot of sunlight all the time through my one window in my bedroom so the solar lights and what not take away the pitch blackness 🤷 I can see. The led light I just got is pretty dang bright, even the ‘night light’ and it’s not light my led strip lights, there’s no dimming option, and I’m thinking hard about a dimmer switch integrated into it, but there’s no receptacle involved and idk if I’m going to have to hillbilly one up with a mini wooden box so there’s no exposure to the screws or anything as such. I already have everything set up on kill switch’s basically and I kill the power before I leave the house accept my normal solar lights so wouldn’t be much of a bother if I can figure out the dimmer switch . Guessing just hack the ‘extension’ cord and splice one in and heat shrink and whatever to protect any intersections of wires

A short in the ground wire
@chrisrondeau991218 күн бұрын
I’m sure this is somewhere in the comments but an easier way to access the wire harness is by pulling the oven out away from your wall and there’s a little opening in the rear. Super simple and no need to reach your arm all the way up and contort yourself!! Thanks for the video.

Excellent video! is 86 (the wire from the ignition switch - NSW - PIN 86) always hot? My cat won't start, when I test with multimeter pin 30 and 87 do receive the 12V signal when I turn the key to start position and pin 85 has good ground but pin 86 is not receving the12V signal when I turn the key to start position, is it supposed to be hot all the time when the car is in park/neutral? When I bypass the starter realy car will start and runs fine in reverse or drive but as soon as I change the gear to driver or reverse it shuts off, what could be wrong here?
