awesome truck my is a 24, just an amazing truck ! thank you for the review !

According to the owners manual, this truck has substandard outlets. Page 102 reveals that the plugs only put out 400 watts, far less than what’s necessary to run most plug in construction tools. They will run battery chargers, and not much else. It won’t run a skillsaw, won’t run a refrigerator. Ii complained, I want fully functional plugs like the RST. I think most people would. I found out by accident after driving it home. About the plugs. At the very least this information should have been disclosed. I would have never purchased this truck had I known.asked why this wasn’t disclosed, no response. Asked if it could be fixed, no reply. Asked for my money back, no reply. If you can’t afford an RST DONT buy this truck.

According to the electrical code, you are actually working on a low voltage device. High voltage is anything above 600V,
@livewirereview3 күн бұрын
@vmxg8052 in our training, they teach us that anything over 48v is dangerous and requires precautions. Part of the difference is that this is DC voltage and not AC. Another difference is the fact the the battery cannot be turned off to work on it, so it's always live.

Baffling how GM thinks people who use a work truck don’t want certain features, like SuperCruise, more HP, a longer bed, heated seats and steering wheel, cooled seats, more outlets, etcetera. Since when do tradespeople not have any use for those features, and six seats. Seems like they got it backwards. It should be a regular truck with more durable floor liner, bed liner, and seats. If people are out working in the elements all day and perhaps night, it stands to reason that they wouldn’t be put off by a comfortable truck with heated or cooled seats, etcetera.

Constantly forgets cell phone pairing, sometimes auto headlight dimmer doesn't work, changes drive mode on its own, and many more issues.

A very useful review! I appreciate your repair perspective. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the 22/23 Bolts esp whether or not the new (post-bolt) battery is worth not buying a cheaper used EV. (searched your channel and didn't see any bolt specific content.) Any insights you'd be willing to share would be super helpful! Thanks!
@livewirereview11 күн бұрын
Any of the Bolts would be a good buy if you're after a cheap EV. Especially since all the battery issues have been resolved by now. The Bolt does have one major drawback though if you live in a colder climate. It uses the worst heating system just like the Transit EV. It uses a PTC heater under the hood that heats coolant and has it's own water pump that pumps to a heater core inside the vehicle. For the same money you could likely get a Kona EV used that has an "A" class heat pump instead.
@myglasseyeball10 күн бұрын

United States member of America I disagree with your take on the battery. I honestly think it could be bigger and it’s big already. I want to be able to travel from Atlanta to New Orleans off a single charge. Instead of that piece of glass they put on the RST model. They should’ve took a page out the Fisker ocean book and made it a solar panel. But I’m not mad that they didn’t because it’s already Uber expensive. I’d like the work truck and I agree with you guys that the mid gate should have been part of it. It makes no sense to me that they didn’t do this. #Chevy dropped the ball on that. The minute that the truck wasn’t a $40,000 truck and became a $70,000 is the mini Chevy should’ve realized it should’ve had more convenient technology! How much money do y’all think people are made out of?

I disagree about the charging port location. It's actually ideally placed for towing. If you don't have a trailer, it literally doesn't matter. If the charger has pull-through stalls, the port location is ideal. If the charger doesn't have pull-through stalls, you're going to need to disconnect the trailer regardless of whether the charging port is located unless you are blocking multiple other parking spaces/driving lanes.

Why?
@BrinJay-s4vАй бұрын
These batteries built from selected cells are dangerous enough in batteries of a thousand. replacing just one out of balance is foolhardy. Why? one low cell discharged within a battery has cells around it in series and parallel. A heavy load making the last few miles to a charger can reverse the defective cell's polarity. Reversed on charging compounds damage and you are in a risky situation. No thanks it's not for me, leave it at phones and laptops. Even a small one destroyed a new Dreamliner as its eperb caught fire . at Heath Row some years ago.
