Pebber’s lessons fueled me at the lowest point of my life to direct my negativity into something positive. I remember I was sitting on my couch in an endless pit of depression… yet I at least had a guitar in my hands and a stop watch beside me. Because of him I practiced my alternate picking for hours at a time in front of the tv and became better than I ever thought I could. Now I have students of my own and I just remembered finally what the name of, “the angry guy who taught me to pick right,” was. 😂 Very sad to see this. He’s playing at the great gig in the sky now. RIP PB.

Studied with Mick in 1985 and much of what is in that book is work I did and have in my personal books from NEC. His TBN approach was what opened everything up for me He was a huge Celtics fan and taught me a lot.

10 mins in and I'm excited to finish watching the rest. Dude is 100 correct. Everyone wants that fun road trip with hilarious moments and good tunes but in reality you are sitting a car driving for hours bored out of your mind. This guy is just being real with everybody.

Dang it!!! I'm so sorry I only found this man now! If I'm very fortunate and his channel remains after him, i promise to follow his wise teachings in a focused effort to suck a little less every day from now on. His exercises in picking hand and fretting hand alone are gold!!! RIP sir.

Very nice, but how do i know when the B is natural of flat? Sometime the E is flat, but not always! How do you know when the note in question is to be flatted of not??

Even after this long I still miss and have fond Memories of Pebber. the happiness he brought all of us supposed guitar players. Few people can really touch peoples souls in the way Pebber did it. his teaching skills were the best and so politically incorrect but who cared?. it was fun and I always loved every thing he did . Historian, teacher, player he was just one guy who was the best. RIP Pebber

Sad to learn this just now, went to look up some old sarod picking videos from Pebber Brown and saw this. Incredible teacher, an abundant source of knowledge. If guitar playing was a philosophy, then Pebber Brown was a philosopher to the caliber of the highest scholars. Reading these comments, he's influenced and taught a countless number of musicians. I for one will be among the many that will keep his name and memory alive. RIP to a master, my condolences to his family.

Videos of Goodrick don’t show him playing exclusively on one string. I believe he wanted students not to limit themselves to soloing out of one or two positions using 2 or 3 notes per string.
