He was Definitely the guy to learn from if you were tired of sucking at guitar. Watched his videos for 15 years. Thank you for everything, Pebber. Rest in peace!

Sad to learn this just now, went to look up some old sarod picking videos from Pebber Brown and saw this. Incredible teacher, an abundant source of knowledge. If guitar playing was a philosophy, then Pebber Brown was a philosopher to the caliber of the highest scholars. Reading these comments, he's influenced and taught a countless number of musicians. I for one will be among the many that will keep his name and memory alive. RIP to a master, my condolences to his family.

Oh man.... I just saw this 😢 Can't believe it, such a tremendous loss I was practicing yesterday to his 12 yo practice video and having a blast, thinking wonder how he's doing and seeing this. Man, I know I only saw his videos and engaged in the comments but it feels like a lost a long time mentor. Thank you Pebber for making my life better all these years. You are missed but wont be forgotten

He'll be telling angels why they suck at their instruments! Greatest guitar instructor I have come across, I recommended him to anyone who would listen. Very sad for this passing, grateful for the guidance, joy in the memories, and my deepest condolences and respect to Pebber's family and friends. Peace!

Loved this comment and no doubt the man is playing with the angels now, pebber was a kind and gentle soul but knew how to teach with passion and discipline i would say. He will be missed by so many and likewise he has taught so many. THE guy for guitar instruction, and a damn good teacher ❤

Pebber was someone I found searching youtube for a competent and straight forward teacher without frills or any BS, in a sea of internet and local instructors who would just waste your time. He was always exactly to the point and provided a wealth of knowledge. May his instruction and teaching resources live on forever and go on to help new generations.

Pebber, thank you so very much for all you so generously shared with those hungry to learn the guitar, music theory and the like. I always "walk the track" on the guitar neck because of your suggestion, I can practice by just gazing at the fretboard. You had all kinds of suggestions that helped more than any other teacher I've known. You gave SO much valuable info and insight in your teachings. Such interesting information. Your stories were the best! The "drunk-guy" note bends 😄 I have seen those dudes play guitar! Hilarious! Felt like I knew you from way back. God bless your family and colleagues, you will never be forgotten. Thanks for all your videos and lessons. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Pebber Brown was the first teacher I ever encountered who I felt like was honest with me about what it takes to get good at guitar. In a sea of 10 minute videos where people would speak with a happier voice instead of explaining things more clearly, he was putting out dozens of hours of videos about practicing to a metronome and building strong fundamental technique. His views about treating your abilities like your most prized possession, that you polish Every. Fucking. Day. gave me so much and affected me very deeply. Thank you for the lessons sir.

Is anyone maintaining his website? It was a treasury of knowledge, and it would be a shame for it to fall into ruin. He had lesson videos for sale; I wanted to suggest that someone continue the website, and to use the proceeds from future sales to possibly fund scholarships. Speaking as someone who didn't know him personally, his instruction furthered my playing in a way that no one else's did. He was a most remarkable man. Sincere Condolences.
