British Vietnamese refugee here. Fled Vietnam as a baby with family in a boat to Hong Kong where we stayed for 18 months before Britain 🇬🇧 accepted us. Landed at Gatwick Airport from British Hong Kong in November 1980. Became a citizen in November 1999. Thank you Britiain 🇬🇧

Watching shows like this and you realise how far the standards of political reporting and interviewing have fallen nowadays.

It is a real shame that such political shows don’t get made, I use to like to be challenged to think for myself not what the TV station wanted to think. Any politics show should show both sides of the discussion and have two people both as strong as each other

This is the REAL Scrabble game. In the US, "TV Scrabble" was a game where contestants solved suggestive crossword puzzle-style clues written by the writing staff, with positions placed on a replica Scrabble board. There were no values given to individual letters; scoring was done by the whole word only. It was nothing like the more faithful rendition this UK version did, but was popular for a number of years on the NBC television network because it was dumbed down for the viewers, and had massive cash prizes by comparison. Amazingly, Selchow & Righter, who created the original Scrabble board game, never objected to the American version, but would have loved the UK adaptation!

Not often one sees two actual living legends in the same room. Diana had it all, fell in love with her watching Just William. Kenny was king, ruler of every film and tv and radio show he was in. This is a glimpse into heaven. Thank you for posting.

I'm curious were any of those two options end up being part of the eventual Good Friday agreement?
@johnking5174
@johnking5174 3 ай бұрын
Well the assembly was certainly used in the agreement, the current assembly has 90 members elected by PR system of voting in multi seat constituencies. The system of an executive was also used. Majority rule was never going to return. Stormont Parliament of 1922 to 1972 saw with majority rule a total lack of fairness to the nationalists.
