Tbh i went being excited to try out the update to absolutely enraged to what happen to my inventory. All the things i grinded forever turned to a garbage armor that i had to grind its parts again JUST TO LEVEL IT UP! all though its a good feature, ITS NOT GOOD WHEN IT ONLY PROTECTS YOU BY 2 DEFENSE! And i feel very weak when im fighting behemoths i just get 1 shotted dozens of time I still dont understand anything about the new features completly. I miss the old dauntless now :/

If you try to jump right into fighting without first trying to level your armor and weapons as well as put any kind of ok build together then you will be frustrated. Try to see what armor pieces you have that have good perks and use those to start as well as equipping cells and don't forget to add talents to your weapons.

I used to play this game ALOT a few years ago, but then i stopped playing for a while and decided to back back recently, i was so shocked by how different every is, and from what ive been playing, i personally prefer the old version

Question is how do we get more lantern cores i remember them as onmnicells and craftable now it gave me bastion but i don't know how to get the other ones

Each one has a quest to unlock them but if you had them before, you can just add them in your build by equipping them to your lantern core spot tot he right of the tonics.

@darkliam1701 they are not from the same npc so you may have to collect all your side quest then check the completion reward and see which ones they are. I think revenant can be obtained in the Gauntlet store and Artificer can be obtained from Lady Luck shop but the rest are unlocked through quest iirc.

In this video from about 1:30 to about 3:35 you will see me open 10 patrol chests. That will give you a lot of rams if you have patrol keys. If you don't then you will have to complete island events.

You get Apex Glimmer from Keystone Behemoths like Malkarion. You get 1 per escalation, usually drops on part break from the Keystone Behemoth.

The game does lag sometimes since the new update but it could also be caused by bad internet connection.

is dauntless making a comeback i checked the dowload and play rate and its gone from 5000 consol and 200 steam to 20000console and 5000steam daily

I use Skies of Ostia for damage and Anvil for the hammer buffs and frost wall to freeze the behemoth.

Great guide, I personally find the Frost escalation to be the easiest method because the hunting grounds get quite competitive. The Charogg event is good, but it takes too much time.

Just play the hunting grounds private. And yes, I like the Grumpy Charrogg but the fight is too long as well as having to requeue the hunt, this makes it not the best way to farm the coins but it is a fun fight.

you mentioned something that has been bothering me but its a low prio considering all the problems with the game right now! when you kill a behemoth it dosnt reset both your weapon legendary skill ! its so annoying for no reason its like these devs dont even play their own game .

It resets the weapon you are actively using. Is it a little annoying sometimes, yes, but I think that's easy to get around like I mentioned in the video with a little ingenuity. Not sure if it's a bug or if it's intended to be that way, if it's intention it would still makes sense to me why it's that way.

You don't need any specific build, just run the primary weapon that you enjoy playing and the shock sword (if you have it) as your secondary weapon, the sword don't even need any talents in it and could even be level 1.

This is the big patch after the terrible lunch on steam and kinda fix some things and compensated old players with a few things but there is still a long way to go if they wanna fix what the community hate right now.

Did this within the first hour of the patch dropping in a public hunt and we had like 6 people just blasting behemoths down lol pretty fun but definitely gets a bit repetitive

Most events are but this one gives you several options to farm coins at least and you can get xp, complete bounties and get behemoth parts while doing it.

The more damage you do before the hunt ends. I got 150 after doing a little more than 200 cheerful damage.

Is something Broken in my game? I have broken Parts on three different game modes and I got ZERO coins for it. on the Island where you start the event I get coins for one broken part, but only the first part broken no more so 10 coins per monster is terrible!!! (If it even Registers the Broken Part), Sometimes it does not!!!) I played for 2 hours only got 60 coins... at this rate HOW in the World does one get 1200 for an ugly sweater? I think I am done... Awakening was terrible I thought OK ill let them repair fix the game... but this is just as bad... previous years I got Hundreds of coins per Esca... just did a shock and a frost esca and got NOTHING!!!! Frostfall is lame... Dauntless What happened I used to love you and your events????

No island except frost islands will give you coins, no escas except frost esca will give you coins, you get coins from parts breaks but not always on the first part break. Regular low level frost maps can give you as low as 4 coins for the part break. Surged maps will give you 10-15 for the part break.

@@swift_n_deadly Yes I figured that, but its still Soooo Slow to grind out 1200 coins! I used to be able to spam Frost Escas and get like 90-200 coins per Esca. getting 10ish coins per Monster is BAD especially since they want soooo much to get the Crown... Its ridiculous... I Did the Cheerless Charog took 15 mins to get into a party with only 3 players and at the end I got 21 Coins and Second attempt got 36 coins... THIS IS SOOOOOO BAD... 45 mins for two tries at this... THey want too much grind and its not fun!

Basically already done all the quests except for collecting all sweaters.. but I honestly think spending the coins on presents (to get keys and bounties) is better then spending the coins to completes that quest

You get a crown for the sweaters quest, and the fact that u cannot buy gifts, just one at the time is annoying… they should ve let us buy one or 10 at the same time

If you already have a lot of bounties and keys then it's probably best to go for the sweater quest for the new crown.

What are your thoughts on the compensation for veteran players? Personally I still think it’s not enough. While I want to love this game like I used to they removed core gameplay mechanics. They took a lot of things away from the players as a whole. And I like the weapon swap mechanic but it doesn’t outweigh all the things that I dislike about it now

Try changing the video quality in the video setting, yt often lowers it to 480p, especially if you're on mobile, but my vids go up to 1080p.

Worst rebuild to date for sure. Adding the second wpn & swap feature was quite overdue and past the projected timeframe but the overhaul and extreme limiting of customizable "builds" from the evolved legacy system into a full retooling and revocation of the core playerbase hard earned (purchased!) inventory items to rebalance or "adjust" fundamental mechanics while, unfortunately, selling out to the busted Unreal Engine 5 has proven to be rather disastrous and essentially insulting to faithfully supportive clients thus far. Imo which is the only one that matters of course 😂 App crashes more than Ark for crying out loud. It's worse than the first Valomyr update back in the day was by far rn. Phoenix Labs better scramble in a panic and issue apology items or else they just created their biggest an most damaging blackout ever. You can steal from clients on Epic and Steam all day but not on Sony. There will be recourse. Btw, check in-game "Store/Weapons"-tab, scroll to bottom for hotfix #1: Free Aether Crystals per W/D/H refresh rn. Luck to my OG's

Exactly. This is just a very poor attempt at damage control... They say the same thing after every reset "we're sorry for 'X' and we'll try to regain your trust" How many times do people need a slap to the face before they wake up to predatory business practices? And in turn, how many times out of 100 are these same player going to stand up for the company that tries to rob them?

I’ve been having a blast with the game again. They definitely need to change some more things. Bring some things back maybe. But other than all that, it’s been fun. Clear skies slayers! Btw them giving us a ton of atherite to level about 5 out of weapons to 60 is peak. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
