I am so discouraged... it should not be this hard to get into a field I went to school for...like there has to be an entry-level.

Hi Alisha, I am researching the different types of qualifications available as I am looking to certify my knowledge of training design and delivery; however, I am not interested in working in the HR department. I would like to be an excellent trainer and training manager at my organisation, which would require me to know how to design learning plans and provide training. I could not find any qualification that would focus on what I need exactly except for the CIPD, however, it is only a part of the CIPD course that covers learning and development, performance management, training design and delivery. I wonder if you could recommend any other qualification/accreditation that would be focused exclusively on certifying my expertise in training design and delivery. Thank you for the video; I am learning how to navigate this space in the UK; I am from Poland originally, in Poland the HR department and the learning & development department are typically separate entities; the HR dep is focused on recruitment and the T&D on people's development and training delivery.

I’m finishing up my BA-HR graduation November🙌🏾👩🏾🎓 the class work is definitely overwhelming, trying to remember labor laws😪 I feel lost if it wasn’t for Google. Plus I work full time. Mental health is a rollercoaster. I’m struggling landing an internship though 😢. I’m trying to get one for this summer especially before I graduate.

Sometimes it's just not a good recruiter thought. Dont forget that… because as humans we are not supposed to be perfect. and in interview context is normal to freeze or to get nervous . Best way is to go with the mentality of imagining you are talking to a friend for example, that really helps to be more natural and relax

Darling as a HR Professional over 20 years, my honest advice is to always make a note of the questions as much as you can, especially this day and age where you have the opportunity to interview on teams, what I do is put on my recorder. This not only helps me put together interview questions but also allows me to listen 🎧 back to myself after the interview. Now I have a compilation of interview questions two of which you mentioned 1) how you manage conflicting tasks and conflict with manager and guess what I now use AI for practice answers. All previous questions I now have accurate answers which has nee been really helpful .

So relatable... I dont joke with ''Can we meet you'' or ''Tell me about yourself'' questions but unfortunately, i dont get asked this kind of question... Its always Competency based questions and that question on managing conflicting priorities and then the unfortunate emails comes in again ....The right job will definitely come through

Totally relatable… I think both small and large organisations have its pros and cons. While I like large org based on my current employer, I am willing to explore small org especially because I would like to be involved in decision making process rather than being always told what to do… Of course, what’s mine will not pass me by 😊
@hrtalkswithlish2 ай бұрын
It’s great that you are thinking about your options Daniel. I do think smaller organisations give you a chance to have more autonomy. Exactly, it will never pass you by😉

It's critical to set boundaries. As a people pleaser, I wasn't able to get things done. That meditation book called 30 Days to Overcome Guilt by Harper Daniels helped a lot, as well as learning to set hard boundaries with coworkers.

Thanks for suggesting this book, I will definitely check it out! Thats something I do struggle with, overcoming the guilt of feeling that I’m letting others down.

Hey alisha. Thank you for your honest video. Just this morning i thought about you. I was thinking that i miss your day in the life videos because they are very motivating 😊. I totally understand how you were feeling, especially being frustrated in not having that all-round hr experience. I guess we have to be grateful of how far we have come from when we started. Just know that we are all in this together 😊.
