Lucky that you can get Tomb Raider to work, mine crashes a lot, but I can Run Castlevania like butter, Resident Evil 1,2 and 3 run smooth so does Silent Hill.

The stand alone Pico drive can play Sega Mega CD games just fine, I play Sonic CD with it all the time.

Nearly the same emulators work on the PSP except NDS of course. There´s also a (pretty bad working) emulator for Sega Dreamcast.

One thing to note on the vc injector, the snes emulator doesn't work with pal roms. You'll get the snes error message when launching the rom (tested it with pal super metroid)

Thank you very much for this video. The 3DS is the only Nintendo handheld console I've never owned. I've been interested in something that fits in my pocket and can emulate many older systems. In this past, I used the GBA, then the DS Lite for this purpose. I wanted a newer device and I was thinking of the 3DS, but after seeing this video, I think I'll be better off with another device. I'll probably get one from Anbernic or Miyoo.

Minecraft dungeons is much better

Unfortunately, it kinda is the worse version. It's choppy, the graohics are terrible (Minecraft is not the prettiest looking game in terms fo graphics, but the pixelation on it is pretty dire, somehow worse than the PS Vita version of Minecraft. Speaking if which, that version may be smaller, but it feels far more optimised to the hardware. The worlds are smaller, but it's far more impressive with how it performs and looks, on a handheld coming out 2 years earlier than the New 3DS. It also controls better, with 2 full analog sticks, and is just a cut down Legacy version, even having cross-compatability with the PS3 back in the day (it was taken out in the last update). So it's not the worst (probably Pi edition is the worst version), but it's up there, for sure.

They are truly amazing consoles that I feel today offer a really good handheld gaming experience for anoyone wanting to explore the sheer massive librarys of games from the past that it can play.

You don't do that with the 3DS, which means no, the 3DS running Virtual Boy games does NOT cause headaches. It is indeed the best possible way to run VB games.

2:10: It's hilarious that you don't even mention by far the most important new feature of the New 3DS models: The improved 3D. The one gaming device that has a large library of 3D titles in the entire universe is the 3DS. Only a fool would run them in 2D. The New 3DS XL can run all these emulators, including the PS1, and yet also has a great 3D feature that literally no other handheld has ever had. Missing out on that experience for any gamer is just dumb. That's why those models sell for so much on eBay.

Hi i know this video is a year old now but im just curious about multidisk games. You played FFVII and it ran smoothly and everything but that game along with MGS and something like FFIX are multiple disk-long games, when playing do they automatically move on to the next disk or is it something manual?

My true Highlight is the PC 98 Emulator and MSX Emulator That's where the 3ds shine with it's double Screens like by 3 Match Puzzle Titels that got ported perfect from PC to (3)DS

Say what you want that the Nintendo DS has more games and better games, tell me that the PSP has better games, tell me that the PS vita has better games. Tell me all the other consoles are better, I prefer the Nintendo 3DS over all of them. i have all the gaming consoles both retro and modern except for the PS5, and the one I play the most is the New Nintendo 3DS XL (Switch too)
