Howdy Denis- what a nice gift! I love the Bowie style blades. I made one about that size out of an older chainsaw bar. Good metal that holds an edge really well. Man, that food looks good. Stay safe up there. God bless

Yes, that is a ripping blade. The tooth geometry is different for the cross cut blade on a buzz saw. Some claim a rip blade will catch in the cut of a cross cut action and jerk it out of your hands. But I can tell you I have not had that experience at all. It's all about learning your machine and operating it accordingly, with personal safety at the top of the list. Nice crawler. That's probably in the early 60's..? The first generation Olivers were more round nosed machines, a hold over from the Cletrac Company that was absorbed by Oliver. Awesome video !! I loved every minute of it.

How's she goin'? That's a great looking old crawler dozer Denis!! And having the PTO is pretty nice. The buzz saw is unique with the PTO connection being direct or at right angles. I never saw that before. Interesting. Good luck with the repairs and take 'er easy!!
