These may well be the biggest step forward in listening that I've ever heard, and they can be used with so many other brands. I understand they will have other models to blend cosmetically with different speakers, and there will be a less expensive model with the same quality but no hand-made inlay into solid walnut.

Taking them out of the system really is a jaw dropping experience. They do add so much. A fantastic product.

No, it's fine to keep it switched on. It's a class D amp, so won't be using much power when not in use.

This is fantastic. You needed to do this and you also have improved on the looks of the original F700 series with a more clean design. I only hope you bring us a F704SP with the 12" drivers as well. And also a 3 way bookshelf version of the F701SP, which I think will be very popular too.

I have been following Fyne Audio speakers for several months now. I've already heard the 500 SP with a Rega Elicit MK 5 - simply marvellous. Now I'm interested in the 701 SP, which I think looks simply beautiful, especially in natural walnut. I love these speakers. Wow. I would love to have them. Maybe test them too?

Are these Tannoy? I don't understand, what is going on? Did Tannoy change their name or is a different company copying them?

Are there other finishes such as to match my F1-8 stand mounts. Thanks for any help you can give us. Happy holidays

Hey, sorry for the delay. They are only available in the vintage walnut finish and piano black at the moment. Not sure if they have plans for a finish to match the F1 series.

Beautiful finish. I wouldn't be without supertweeters in my system as they do bring air, fill out the harmonics eg on cymbals and aid in soundstage. Mine cost about a third of this and go up to 90 kHz apparently but are directional, as David mentions. If you could simplify the design and bring the price down I think you would sell more. All the best, Rob in Switzerland

I find this description quite (and annoyingly) confusing. The actual system as presented is not a working system ...where is the second Monoblock. Also , the naim guy is speaking in platitudes. The interviewer is leading . The mechanical isolation is nothing new and was around long before the Statement. Not correct to say that the 300 has trickle down mechanical isolation from the statement. Also, I think the volume control has been done before. If the preamp is fully analogue why does it need a separate digital and analogue power supply (NPX 300)? I believe that the NPX 300 was designed for the 200 Series streamer/Preamp which indeed has both an analogue and a digital section. For this 300 series Naim has suggested two NPX power supplies , one for the Pre amp and one for the streamer. In each case the full capabilities of the NPX 300 are not being used. Is the NVC TT phono stage and its power supply a part of the 300 classic. The price list only shows one NPX 300 power supply. I own the complete 200 Classic System with Spender D9.e speakers. I was looking to this video to help me understand the differences. I have no redundancies with my system but I think the 300 system is full of redundancies. No good explanation was given on the benefits of having the mono block features. I am disappointed with the presentation given and it does nothing to help me reconcile the differences between the 300 and the 200 other than to show the huge price difference.

Erm , from launch back in the seventies , much was made of the LP 12s suspended subframe which not only kept the platter and the pickup rigidly coupled to each other , but also kept them isolated from the plinth , which of course was subjected to vibration from the motor as well as any external influences . I do accept that the new plinth may well reduce the effects of external influences , but if the subchassis is properly isolated , these effects ought to be minimal . If the suspension is doing its job properly , then any belt drive turntable with a suspended subframe ought to find minimal influence from the plinth ; this of course being the case with my Michell Gyrodec which has the full plinth and cover , when compared to the version which can be bought without any plinth at all . Of course many details have changed down the years , including different power supplies , motors ( which have different mechanical characteristics as well as radiated magnetic field patterns ) , springs and damping provision within the suspension , different pickup arms and cartridges come and go from fashion ; and so it has been also with Linn . I used to sell Linn , Naim and other associated products back in the seventies , when an LP12 retailed for £82 ( yes eighty two pounds ) for the bare deck ; at the same time my then Transcriptor Hydraulic Reference Turntable sold for £118 , again minus arm or catridge . Nowadays those prices would hardly buy even the most basic deck . Of course , for anyone who has earlier versions of any of these decks , servicing or upgrade paths are readily available .

Unfortunately, the lack of finishing options automatically disqualifies it from my consideration. I really think they'd do well to offer an alternative in white and white with light oak.

Will black be the only option, and how will these mesh with a home cinema system that otherwise uses F300 (non i) series speakers?
@LoudClearGlasgow
@LoudClearGlasgow Ай бұрын
For this F500E series black ash is the only finish, but there is a range above this, F500S, which will be coming next year, and will come in walnut, black oak and piano black. The F500E range should mesh OK with previous Fyne speakers.

I know the PS audio in United States, has been messing around with switching power supplies, Not in production at this time. I do like their results with using a vacuum tube/valve for the input stage in there amplifiers. in my experience of diy World certainly with preamps using a massive power supply has had a great sonic benefit. I’m thinking that with a really well designed switching power supply with 10 times the current needed might be interesting.

Back in the day I had an Ariston RD11S with an SME 3009 arm. It was not significantly inferior to my friend's Linn (I think the Ariston had better bass and stronger imaging for example) but Linn's marketing was always 'special'.... Lovely deck, but the pricing is just silly |MHO

Hello Frank, Beloved Linn LP12 have played for me last 20 years. I really happy with great sound and I will accompany with her eternally. One thing, align the counter weight to balance zero is very difficult due to its sticky. I recommed you to change this sticky way to THREAD way. Thread moving way will be more precise and easy.
