Buy an old one from the 1970's, they still sound amazing today. I have one with a Rega RB-300 arm and it is amazing still and has had no upgrades at all. If that is not available go for a Systemdek iix, which is almost as good, maybe even as good, but easily affordable. I could go on for days with ideas :D
