Man: "You're right, honey. I was wrong. I'm sorry." Woman: "I know you're wrong. And if you were smart you'd agree with me from the start without having these silly ideas of your own."

searched for this video while trying to teach my mom the technique. My partner is abroad atm and I chose my mom as my practice partner. it's so fun to see the evolution of the course. I see Validation and empathizing has been added. Brilliant! Thanks Bruce for your dedication to relationships.

What about the run away husband? Do they just leave before she does, that is they are pushed. Or is that something else?

Lover? My Wife decided after we adopted the children, that our love life is over and will NEVER be together again - but expects a forced celibacy "marriage" will somehow work.

I struggle with split attention real bad, I need to drop what I’m doing and focus on what my wife is saying.

Ok. #1 being responsive with 'I get it or I understand ect.." Is a trick that people use to pretend they're listening. Big L !!! 👎

What you are describing in this video is the Imago Dialogue created by Harville Hendricks. It's great that you are sharing it but you might want to give him credit for it.
@annwilliamson5007Ай бұрын
I tried reading Hendricks books and found his description and explanation of the imago overly complicated. I think this video’s much easier for the average person to understand and apply.

Used to try this without even knowing it was a thing. Her response usually was, "do I have to spell everything out for you?!!!" 😂😂😂

What if the receiver doesn’t think they did anything wrong and that the sender is too sensitive and the receiver doesn’t want to apologize because they don’t think they did anything wrong and that the receiver is who has the problem???

This is truly exceptional. I had the privilege of reading something similar, and it was exceptional. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint

Time to face the Muzic. Taking relationship advice from the enemy in your relationship will only keep you engaged in an abu$I’ve relationship. Muzic, explain why being defensive invites attack. I don’t think you will so I will. The reason is that your defensive reaction using truth, causes them shame!!!!!! SHAME!!!!!!!! And they have to attack you when they feel SHAME. every time. That means they are a narcissist. Run! The target audience for videos like these is the victim, and this advice keeps them in the cycle of abu$e. Dude…you can’t be a narc and give relationship advice as if you were not one. The day will come when this obviousness will be plain to all, and not just a few like me. When that time comes, videos like these will be for entertainment. Watch the fool make a fool out of himself and those he leads. 😂 Don’t take relationship advice from a manipulator on how to stay in a manipulative relationship. Run from all these people, don’t run to them for advice. Seek Jesus, not a clown, unless you want to stay in the circus.

32:42 - LMAO I see what you did there. Ask a real person what a narcissist wants to know. Watch his reaction to the response. The shame is real. If someone leaves you, they found what they were looking for and it wasn’t you. You can fight it, or let say good bye forever.
