Chad, Several questions?? On your center pin rods, what is the weight for the Salmon versus Steelhead or do you use the same setup but just up your leader? Also, your twitching rod, what size and action do you prefer? Thanks Chad, Mike
@ElevatedFishing20 күн бұрын
@@TheSpeyfisher We use 1oz floats and tungsten stick weights for salmon and steelhead downsize to 1/2oz for weights and sticks mostly. Twitching rods are around 7ft with a fast action and 8-15lb rating roughly.
@TheSpeyfisher20 күн бұрын
@ElevatedFishing Thanks Chad! I guess the question I was getting at, are you using the same pin rod for both salmon and Steelhead or do you have several rods you use ? One for Steelies and I'm the other for Salmon? If that makes sense? Lol

@ different rods for each. I like a 10-20 for chinook and 8-14 for steelhead. Sometimes lighter on smaller fisharies.

Where are gentlemen from etc. What kind of packs do you use and what you carry for the day? The videos you folks are putting out are excellent quality and I thank you. Chad, what kind of bobber stop are you using since you are using a slip float? Thank you, Mike
@TheSpeyfisherАй бұрын
Chad or Daniel, when you setup with 2 beads, you stated that you use a " Duncan loop"? First, you are placing the loop the opposite end from lure on tag end side but how do you attach the loop to the other hook? I guess I'm confused! I've used it on fly tying etc but not the way you are using it? Are you doing a loop to loop connection so you can change out the bottom fly, lure etc? Thanks Guys I appreciate it very much! Also, please have a blessed Thanksgiving !
@ElevatedFishingАй бұрын
@@TheSpeyfisher We use the loop to attach the bottom leader and dropper bead to our upper hook. We also use the same loop to attach our top leader to a snap swivel below our sliding float. Hope that makes sense.

Outstanding Gentleman!!!! Great footage and you guys keep it real! What I would like to see in an upcoming video, is what you folks carry in your packs???? Equipment is essential as we all know but one can carry to much or to little? Do you have any preference for leader material. I see you folks use Colville reels! That would be cool if Danny could come out and fish you guys? Anyway, I very much enjoy your videos and professionalism on and off the river. Please stay safe and hope to see you men on the river? Also, are you men going to have a booth at the Portland Show? Please advertise so I can stop by to say hello....tight lines, Mike

Whats the benefit to using a sliding weight over a bobber doggin setup or inline weight?
@ElevatedFishingАй бұрын
@@OregonGrown1991 We use a slider for our bobber dogging rig as well. It helps the weight have less pressure on your line when the fish are thrashing at the surface. The weight can slide up and down your mainline instead of a fixed point. Fish seem to stay buttoned better.
