Haha you made the RoadHouse from the movie Road House that came out this year. Looks nearly identical down to the road. Love it!

Following HarbourMasterJay's advice and doing the modifications to the bench to create a custom asset does seem to be the way to go. I guess it is still a good idea to try the modifications within game first to see if it will 'look right', but those edits looked (relatively) painless to make.

I agree, build where you find comfortable! I think the Editer is pretty cool, but its in beta so I'm using it sparingly. It has a lot of potential, and I'm excited for the full release, especially with asset support on the PDX Store
Hey everyone, that's a wrap for the recorded footage I managed to put together while I was under the weather. We'll be back with more live play in future episodes, so thanks a lot for sticking with us. I do have a couple of trips coming up in the next few weeks, so I probably won't be able to upload regularly. I really appreciate all the support and for you taking the time to explore the city with me! Thanks!

im kind of mirrorring your city (but not really) and I cant figure out where to place the trams

Hi! Did you figure it out? I like to run trams through the middle of the city, so that the captive area is as large as possible, hope that helps!

Well done with the Memorial area. Adds some nice lore to the city. I can't wait until we get better tools and assets for breakwaters.

12:00 I've been having a good time placing these kinds of breakwaters using the line mode with random rotation, offset and spacing while having anarchy on. Very quick to do.

A small mountain village like the ones they have in japan right next to were the high speed rail ends currently would be a nice fit, might even be able to squeeze in a small train station there as well.

Does the taxi depot have the call centre, because that should reduce the amount of pedestrians at the taxi stands as they can pick them up anywhere.
@SunnyScunny7 күн бұрын
I checked again off camera, and the crowd didn't come back, I think they may have been caught up in the homeless bug. I like seeing the taxis queueing, so I'm holding off on the dispatch centre for now. Thanks! ☺️

Nice work Scunny! I find it quite amusing that it's cheaper to bore a huge tunnel through the hillside than it is to go around because of tile cost! Although to be fair, the high speed route would really be paid for by the government so maybe just build it using Anarchy? Or, if you don't want the Anarchy flags all over the rail, just switch off validation in the DevUI while you do it? Liking the touches of _Recolor_ too. Smooth.
@SunnyScunny7 күн бұрын
Thanks! I’ve considered it, but still trying to keep the financial challenge as part of the playthrough. I’d like to think that external investors might eventually step in and complete the route, but for now, we will continue to expand and make some tax dollars

Beautiful additions! I would imagine there isn't a person in the city who has not been affected by the catastrophic fire (a thousand souls lost would put it atop the list of 21th century city fires in terms of casualties), so having a memorial park of respectful size is probably a request of highest priority for the population. Naturally it could be adjoined by a cemetry. Small religious buildings don't seem to be part of the game yet?

I’d love some chapels, the spires would be a great addition to the skyline

Love this! With the double-track passing points along the heritage line, you could use the replace tool with snapping off to align one of the tracks to rest of the line and have the bypass track to one side. I think it would look really neat. :)

Love the attention to detail Scunny! If you feel like going that one it further... the "old rail line" you could actually make as a custom rail type using Road Builder (or in the Editor) and have it with a reduced speed limit. Then when you get HS1 in it will genuinely be the high speed link. You can also create DMU's very easily by duplicating the subway train and converting it to train use (but you need to plonk a main railyard to get the choice selector available...) Hope the voice (and the rest) all mend speedily mate.

Thanks, Tigon! There used to be a small diesel train that served my home town, Pacer, it was like a bus on tracks, horrendous - would love a few of those rattling along the coast serving the smaller towns. The metro cars would be a good fit - I’ll look into it
