The black mold is the only downside. Enjoy! I love that you bought your grandfather’s house. What a find!😊

Hi Teagan thanks for all your very valuable experience and advice. I was wondering about the Australian official processes…if I use an Italian Power of Attorney will this still be necessary to your understanding? Cheers very much, Bel

Lot's of work needed. You did not say how much you spent on the house as-is

I see a lot of black mildew in most places guys. I would check into that to make sure there won't be more water damage in future.

Hi Tigan , I watched all you videos and have bee interested in buying a property in Italy also... This video where you went to see your house is the last video that I could find and it is over a year ago,, I checked your blog and website and all the activity just ended here at this video in spite of you organizing people to help you renovate,,, I wonder what happened and hope everything is Ok with you and your plan to have a home in Italy... I thought the home you bought needed a lot of renovation and looks like it could be quite expensive and time consuming.. I also have heard that in Italy and especially southern Italy the red tape to get permission to do renovations from the city hall is difficult and they often refuse changes to protect historical features and require lots of professional surveys , engineering studies and historical evaluations all done by people with lots of credentials...followed by inspections... So what happened? Are you still proceeding with your plan?... I would love to learn from your experience...

Anyone who buys a house in a foreign country, without even seeing the house, without even being able to speak the language, is an idiot. You don't even pronounce the name of the place properly. It's BRINDisi not BrinDISI.

Wonderful video! I’m subscribed. I’m from USA and visit Italy every year and wondered if you became a resident before buying, I’m just starting to look for property but I only have a tourist visa, so can stay in Italy only 90 days.

These things have to be done very very carefully. Hire an attorney. Become informed. Take it step by step. Never enter into any deal without the protection of realtors, attorneys, advisors. This applies for any country.

Are you planning to live there permanently/year round? I'd be interested to learn how you can do this--becoming an actual "resident," as from what I've researched, it is more convoluted than the purchasing of the home. You can, also, buy a "vacation" place and do "extended VISAS," but generally it will take 10 years of 6 months here/6 months there.

Definitely expose the stone on ceilings . The camera man , must must slow down filming , he is going way to fast zip zagging all over the place . To the point almost unwatchable

Oh my word, that is a phenomenal building. I love all the different levels. The first thing that shouted at me was to keep the tiles and incorporate them into the floor. Restore the doors that can be kept. I’m not one for exposing all of the ceilings, I love the clean white look and I recently saw a Sicilian renovation which used plaster that contained Sicilian marble powder. It looks stunning. I’ve subscribed and will be checking out your crew offer. Thank you and excited to see and share your journey x
