Good review, I plan on getting this case. For the aio fans did you just plug them into the fan hub in the back? Were the cables long enough to reach the hub?
@DannysTechChannel9 күн бұрын
For the fan RGB, yes I plugged them into the fan hub. For the PWM connectors, those are daisy chained to the CPU fan header on the motherboard.

I've just given my Skylake 6700K system to my cousin and I bought one of these to put it in. The HDD and both SSD's are hidden nicely and I found it very spacious. All the standoffs for an ATX motherboard are already fitted and it was super easy to build in. For £65 it was a steal. The GTX 1070 fits easily as there's enough room for those monster GPU's. I had to buy a 120mm fan to exhaust air out the back, but that's no big deal. I got a Noctua Redux fan for £13 on Amazon. I wouldn't use this case for a high end rig but I don't think Fractal intended for it to house such a rig, but for anything else it's spot on.

The really noticeable thing _for me_ about the Ultra (I mean I could hardly look away from it 👀) was how those front 120mm fan mount tabs were so clearly silhouetted in the light from the 140mm fans. I think it really hurts the aesthetic. Otherwise I really do like the case (it could almost be a retooled Montech Sky Two GX 🤫). I'd probably get the PRO model and use 120mm fans throughout the build. Thanks Danny. 👍🏼

The Asus Tuf boards are usually fine mid-range boards without too much extra bling. But yeah X870 ain't cheap. But people should understand that it's just rebadged X670E with the only difference being mandatory USB4.0 support! That is to say this doesn't do anything extra beyond USB 4.0 that an X670E board can do ie it doesn't support newer CPU's, faster RAM or even offer more PCI-e 5.0 lanes! So if you don't need USB 4.0 you can save a bit and get the Asus Tuf X670E-Plus WIFI instead and if you don't need the extra PCI-e 5.0 lanes just get any X670 board and you'll save a lot more! Again, it will support all the same CPU's, same RAM, same GPU performance and same M.2 performance in the top M.2 slot. Average gamer doesn't need the extra PCI-e 5.0 lanes really.
