Great looking frame. Close to perfect. Will definitely look into festka for my next bike.

I don't like the bar and stem cockpit. The 1 1/8" stuff is okay with modern bikes but a beauty likes this needs the Period parts. A Quill stem is called for.

I own the cargo shorts and I would not recommend it at all. Did several long rides in it, it is much less comfy than my Eliel cargo bibs. Also, the compression is just not there. It feels cheap.

Shame it has that groupset. Campag would have been my choice
@allezmadone49172 ай бұрын
Interesting you say that you would only pump a track bike tyre to 110, 115psi. That is nowhere near enough pressure for a track bike tyre. The Vittoria Pista Speed has a max pressure of 220 and I would generally get mine to 180 using the compressor at the velodrome. Hence the high gauge is useful for track riders and racers.
@davidkimari23672 ай бұрын
From my limited experience, analog gauges are most accurate in the middle of their limits. Both of these gauges will be the most accurate between 80-130 PSI. If the pump Gauge only went to 120 PSI, the accuracy would be negatively affected starting around 90-100 PSI.

lol... those Obermayer wheels are a very long way off being the "pinnacle of cycling technology". With 18mm internal width more like the showcase of 1990s technology

Agree. Had a clincher pair 10 years ago. Looked fab, but deadly in crosswinds and questionable aero benefits. Not even the lightest anymore and the rim profile doesn't appear to have changed.

Perfect! I have similar kona joe murray. The grease port is real talking point-keep it, I kept mine. The ‘velocity’ components are worn but work great. I did swap out the brakes for v brakes. I went 1x for efficiency and I had a lug brazed on the rear to accommodate the V. brake-as the cantilevers woud not stop me. A timeless classic in the days of carbon ebikes with pressfit bb’s.😊

Very nice video as always on your channel. May I missed it, but what is the weight? Sure it is light, but for lightweight freaks, we want to know, how lite it is.

Obviously comments get blocked here. I want to know what does a political AD have to do with this bike? Nothing right. So why aren't the Ads more relevant to the content in the video? KZbin is getting so bad.
@veloatelier61223 ай бұрын
Hi There. Thanks for watching. Firstly we don't block any comments. Free discourse is important for progression. Secondly Im afraid we dont have any say over what ads get shown on our content and as I understand it they are targeted at the viewer rather than being generic to the content.

@@veloatelier6122 Thanks for your reply. I posted a comment to this video using a different account on another browser and it doesn't show up here. That's why I thought it was deleted. I didn't say anything rude or offensive but it's not here regardless. Guess I need to just quit wasting my time posting on KZbin.

I have had the digital Lezyne pump for at least 8 years. I just now requested a replacement chuck as the old push-on/pull-off one started to stick. Aside from that, the pump has been great. I believe it's still the original battery.

Love the video, admire the edit to show silca sealant being poured in, not the fact the stuff get everywhere when you put the tyre on.
@veloatelier61224 ай бұрын
We have got pretty good at keeping it nice and clean. Simply seat the majority of the tyre and then when the sealant is poured in simply rotate the wheel so the open bit is at the top and pop it in.

We grease the levers before fitting them to the bars. Keeps it cleaner that way.

Hmm, building a bike vs assembling it. What’s the difference? 🤔🚴♂️
@veloatelier61224 ай бұрын
Good point. In theory when we build the frame and the wheels and then assemble it that would be a Build. Most people simply call all bike assembly a bike build though.

Cheers to velo atelier team. Keep it up. I'll definitely give you guys a shout soon enough when I can afford it.
