What a helpful and insightful video! I hope you consider similar tests and reviews of other brands’ pads, too (e.g., Q36.5, MAAP).

I have had the digital Lezyne pump for at least 8 years. I just now requested a replacement chuck as the old push-on/pull-off one started to stick. Aside from that, the pump has been great. I believe it's still the original battery.

Love the video, admire the edit to show silca sealant being poured in, not the fact the stuff get everywhere when you put the tyre on.
@veloatelier6122Ай бұрын
We have got pretty good at keeping it nice and clean. Simply seat the majority of the tyre and then when the sealant is poured in simply rotate the wheel so the open bit is at the top and pop it in.

No grease to barbs when tightening brake hoses to shifters ? Was this a mistake or experience that not really required?
@veloatelier6122Ай бұрын
We grease the levers before fitting them to the bars. Keeps it cleaner that way.

have never seen a greaser that attaches to the grease tube wicked tool you have there.

Hmm, building a bike vs assembling it. What’s the difference? 🤔🚴♂️
@veloatelier6122Ай бұрын
Good point. In theory when we build the frame and the wheels and then assemble it that would be a Build. Most people simply call all bike assembly a bike build though.

Nice custom build, still.. meteor works gives much more of an appeal to me. Like they say artisan made just speaks of uniqueness, one of a kind and personal touch in going for custom made frames. Cheers to velo atelier team. Keep it up. I'll definitely give you guys a shout soon enough when I can afford it.

Смотрится не очень, смотрелось бы лучше если бы ты носил камеру с собой, для реализма. Да топорно, за то по настоящему. Не показал характер велосипеда, как катит, эмоции от байка. Приторно

Great video. I plan on using it as a guide to build my Enve Fray. Just one observation. Unless I missed something, you didn't use the crown race on the steerer. Is it not necessary for this frame/fork combination? Thanks.
@veloatelier6122Ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. Yes the ENVE Melee has an integrated carbon bottom crown race so no need to add a metal part.
@dariusvick1636Ай бұрын
@@veloatelier6122 Thank you. The fray doesn't have a built on crown race so I'll proceed accordingly.

Why isn’t there more pad reviews like this!? For me, and I think alot of bikers, the pad is the most important clothing you have in your kit. Thank you for the review! Please review more brands, like maap and more🙏

Remember seeing Freire riding one early 2004 I was on the phone to FS Maestro and ordered a frame 48 sloping .Had it built up with campy record and Cinelli Ram Freire edition The only components not italian were the wheels Mavic carbon cosmics and the pedals Time Even Michelin brought out tyres with the rainbow bands forgot the actual name .Bought all my kit from Prendas Ciclisimo as Mick could get team edition kit from Santini Even Sidi brought out the Energy shoes in white with the rainbow bands

I have a Silca Pista bought new in the late 80's. Its been rebuilt once, still works fine. The push on chuck is good for tubs which have smooth stems, not so much for threaded stems. I replaced with the Hiro chuck, game changer. And now use a Ryobi hand held compressor with a digital readout and the Hiro chuck. Even better again. No need for a hand operated pump in the garage now. The Silca pump though indestructible in normal use, likely a thing you can safely put in your will.

I'm a big fan of Colnago, and of Campagnolo. I'm also a bit of a purest. Team Mapei never rode on Campagnolo parts. They rode on Dura Ace 7700 at the time the C40 was built. Great bike otherwise. Thanks.
