Serious question. Why did the rider crash at 1:24 ?

@@ogregang3203 he hadn’t been riding in a while, recently got back on 2 wheels. I think the other riders coming the other direction really startled him and it all happened so fast and went bad quickly. He said it really hurt. I’ll have him comment on this :)

Why Would you ever lose the red key.... Oh 'I know..... Cause your stupid, .and THEN YOU SELL THE BIKE /CAR TO SOMEONE THAT IS STUPID, LIKE ME . Chip keys don't stop you from getting your bike stolen... It just stops the owner from having an easy time getting new keys made when someone steals their "F"ing keys. If chip keys worked, then why are there so many cars and bike stolen ? it's just a way to extort money from The people that bought your F-ING CRAP !

Good job on White Mountain. That section is so much harder than it looks on video. I'm surprised your buddy was able to get through it sitting down.

Google maps “pack mem trl” in apple valley. Look left to where it hits deep creek rd and you’ll see in satellite view there is a launch site right close to deep creek rd , slightly east of it in the brown right off pack mem trl

@@aaronmgray Thank you Aaron, I found it. Sure is a lot more east than I would have thought, clear on the other side of the 15. I didn't know Hesperia's limits were that large. I was thinking this would be a lot closer than the drive to Dove Springs but not by much. From Simi Valley it usually takes 2 1/2 hours to Dove Springs as I recall and Google Maps say 2 1/4 to pack mem trl. Looks like a blast riding though. Thank you so much for quick reply, Best, Douglas

Dust is only truly horrible in the beginning. It’s a long day and people spread out. But it’s legit horrible at the start. 2022 they added like 7mi of ez riding around to space people out a bit before straight to gold mtn. It helped a little bit.

Are these trails black diamond or double black diamond?
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
I’d say black diamond. I don’t use that terminology really other than when on the snow. But double black I’d think is hard enduro stuff and this is not that tough. Wouldn’t imagine taking any beginner rider up this stuff though.

Thanks a ton. Does anyone happen to know of a Caltopo + gGis walkthrough that lets you build MB tiles? No sign of anything noted below.
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
California trail maps covers it well. Look for his YT channel and then he has one on using qgis to export mbtiles. If you want to add google satellite info just search for that; there are videos on that. The problem with qgis would be what is your source with trail data. Where you getting that from?

@@aaronmgray Thanks Aaron. Just learning about geo tagged PDFs and such so working though the details now. Not sure of sources but starting with CalTopo and some of the other geo tagged data listed on the VP site.

What do you use for lube? Is there an alternative less expensive lube that doesn’t break down?
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
I buy it in bulk from RMATV when I happen to have an order for something else. Avoid shipping charges. Their price for “NMLUBE” is the cheapest I’ve seen. Other people use soaps but they don’t last. The big bucket from ZipTy is a soap too. So no, no other silicone based lube in that price range as RMATV w free shipping. ($4.85/tube)

Great idea, doing this how many hours can you get out of a mousse life. Also how many hours can you add to the Mousse, great video!
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
If I don't go hard on the highway, a lot more. When I took it to 70mph on the highway during a (not a race) race, I cracked one up all over. Mine just shrink. I'm on the same front mousse 2 years now, with it simply shrinking and me using an older mousse to keep adding larger wedges. It's nearly too small TBH and I have a brand new front/rear mousse and tires ready to go on. Hours? oh i dont know... I guess I could look, but everyones riding is diff. I am probably 2200mi on this front mousse with wedges added. Keeping it lubed, dont ride highway fast and generally cooler riding is key. The heat is the worst thing to these mousses. I hear Michelin BIB last longer than these Nitromousses, but you pay more.
@cep8214
@cep8214 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the very detailed answer and I will take this information and utilize it to extend the life of my mousse. I’m sold on this technology and never having to worry about tire issues in the woods. Have a great night.

Did you figure it out yet? I use a standard stand and what to pick one of these up. A bead buddy or two will help out a bunch to force the bead down in the dish of the rim opposite of where your levering. You can use a lever for that, but they can flip on you. Thanks for the video outlining the set up. My regular stand doesn't fold up well. I think that this one breaks down and I can store it on the shelf. might offset the cost by passing the regular stand down the road.

What wires did you tap onto?
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
to have it turn on when the key is turned on (you hear a beep) and turn off when the key is off (vs. having it always on and you need to remove the white 2-pin connector to ensure power cut) These wires are all right there in the front under the headlights, really close, so nothing further away. Blue -> Green wire on the tethered kill switch (2 wires off that) Green -> Ground spot on the ATV Yellow -> Brown with white stripe Red -> 2 pin connector (included) which has a fuse on it, goes to a wire TAP on the brown with white stripe connector that goes to the key. The other wire on this connector is a red wire Black -> 2 pin connector (included) which ultimately runs to the main negative on the battery.

Aeron Gray it seems to me there is no point in lubing up the bib and tire before install and making a mess of my entire basement. Why not install dry and add lube once everything's together???? Are we going place here or what!?!?!?
@aaronmgray
@aaronmgray 2 жыл бұрын
Matt at Nuetech said u can do that to be verbally on the phone. He said people don’t like to read that you can do that so they wrote that you smear it on the tire, on the mousse etc. He said u could also just dump it all in one spot (same logic as adding it afterwards w this method in the video) because the moment you put your weight on the bike and move it around it’ll squeeze the lube everywhere. Any left over surplus lube will be forced out wherever is the lease point of resistance (spoke hole under tape, wheel lock bolt or right at the bead).
