I think theory 2 is accurate, Im lonely, and people i meet don't typically have the same interests, seeing a person enjoy and react to something i also enjoyed is entertaining, when a reaction is acted it loses apeal for me.

I think whenever I enjoy reaction videos it's either of the "informative type", or it's occasionally the "performative type" whenever it feels honest enough to make me relive my own happiness when I first listened to a specific music. I tend to prefer the informative/review/context type ones.

I watch more reaction videos than I believe is healthy and I can only talk about personal reasons. I have two reasons to watch reaction videos and it's two completely different types of reactors, the first reason is a song I love and I want to relive the first time I heard that song through somebody else. This I seek out through the song and I will watch whatever reactor reacts to it..... a few of the reactors I like from this category and I will watch other reactions they have made.... also to reexperience a song I love for the first time through others is for some reason extremely effective and brings back all the feels. The second category is reactors that know what they talk about and / or have a good ide of the industry, I watch those reactors both for more information about bands I like and to hear something new within the genre that might give me a new band to add my playlist. I however do not understand the star status some reactors get.... but that's just me I guess, I don't understand fame no matter what a person does, don't see a lead singer of a band as any more interesting than a construction worker and would go out of my way to accommodate both of them equally (or not at all might be a better wording)
@Fuchswinter
@Fuchswinter 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is pretty much what I found through my research and resonated with me as well. I actually don't watch the emotional/"reexperience" type so much but I can see why people love it. It's so nice to see other people discover what you love. And learning new stuff is always good, especially in a field you're interested in. Being starstruck is a very odd phenomenon I feel - I get why it happens and I'm not immune to it for sure, but it's worrying that people are out on a pedestal as much as they are (and always have been really, this isn't new). I took this iut of my scrupt because it's really its own topic but especially emotion-focused reaction videos are very good at creating parasocial relationships. Viewers learn a lot about a person without truly knowing them and it's easy to project an ideal image onto them.

I actually only subscribed to see the final Gloryhammer video, but I haven't left. I've always thought "watch this thing with me and I talk about it" style videos were kind of dull, but I like the explaining the story of an album type ones; they feel more... meaningful? Impactful? I totally understand if you do not want to do this anymore due to the response you get on your videos. I however really like your videos, they are informed and interesting (and I don't even like more than haft the bands you react to). It's not something I can say about a lot of reaction channels out there and it baffles me that your reactions get so few views and likes when (according to me) shite reactors out there get thousands of likes. If you want some criticism the sound lvl on your voice is always verry low but that is not a big problem. All and all wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do with the cannel and your life

Oh might add that you never jumped on the "popular this week" bandwagon, I respect that even if I am certain that would have made your channel grow a lot, your input is top class in your reaction videos so don't sell yourself short. There are to my knowledge 6-7 metal reactors that actually add something in their reactions and you are one of those.

I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do. I do enjoy making videos and I think I would miss it if I stopped. The pressure of always having to be first with reactions and chasing after schedules, along with the copyright issues I mentioned, just kind of ruined it for a while. Good video. I like that you talk about the between-songs details we don't exactly hear about. My main hope for future albums/band operation is that there's no more toxic BS, and maybe we get more female characters, even if they're only mentioned and don't have voice acting. And more unapologetic cheese-factor, but... that'part's kind of a given, isn't it? XD
@Fuchswinter

Thank you! There's lots of stuff in the booklet people who only listen on Spotify or whatever don't ever get to see. I would certainly appreciate more female characters, there's plenty of great vocalists who could jump in (thinking of Melissa Bonnie, Elize Ryd, Noora Louhimo....). I mean how realistic is it that an entire world exists without more than 1 woman who isn't as a sexist stereotype.

I think Zargothrax is driven by revenge and revenge alone, since I would be pretty pissed off too if I was frozen for 1000 years in liquid ice whilst fully conscious on a barren moon guarded by the very people who have foiled your last plan and have never lost a fight. Also you forgot to mention Ralathor's motivation, which I have a pretty wild speculation about: what if Ralathor is a rogue Questlord (who can travel through time and space) or simply the last one left? This would answer the questions of: "Why does he only appear when he is needed most?" "How did he survive for so long?" and "How does he know so much?" (Maybe this also answers what his deal is in lfbtgt with him interfering so much, since the Hootsman is presumed dead by Angus and is missing in Ralathor's eyes, Proletius is evil and the Deathknights of Crail are too, so he's the only one left to protect the Kingdom of Fife). He's seen it all, and might have seen an apocalyptic event yet to happen, which he's trying to prevent by protecting the Kingdom of Fife. He's not protecting the Anguses, because he let XIII die at the end of fires of ancient cosmic destiny. Or he tried to prevent the universe from being destroyed in space 1992, and has no reason to not interfere now. The latter could also mean that Ralathor is Anstruther. But that's just a theory, a Gloryhammer theory! (I wrote this at 1am) Also where's part III (pls make it)
@Fuchswinter
@Fuchswinter 2 жыл бұрын
OKAY WOW, I've been in the GH theories for a bit but nobody ever mentioned the Ralathor-Questlord connection. That's interesting! With him being in the first album that would likely imply he founded them? Taught them? Going with the wizard theory he might be the one who made them this great. Honestly yeah I'd be pretty pissed about being frozen too lol. As for Ralathor, I like the theory that he's after Zargothrax the entire time, for whatever reason. (They're brothers was one theory I found intriguing, seeing how they are the only wizards to appear in person. Anstruther isn't really certain after all.) Maybe I'm too deep in the fan more by this point to see all angles oops. As for part three, it's coming! (I just recently thought "Hey wait did you ever make that third lore thing?" And the answer is not yet.) I'll get to it as soon as I can!
@emillambrigger
@emillambrigger 2 жыл бұрын
@@Fuchswinter Yesss, I like the theory that Ralathor founded the Questlords. Maybe he invented the technology used to bend spacetime, since a lot of stuff from Gloryhammer seems to be a hybrid between magic and technology, especially in the second and third album. I also like the Zargothrax Ralathor brother theory, I've never layed the connection. Apparently Zargothrax has already lived for thousands of years before the first album, so does this mean Ralathor and Zargothrax are immortal? If that's the case, perhaps Ralathor isn't a Questlord but has merely seen the grim future, still making him want to prevent it. This would mean that the events of Apocalypse 1992 are what Ralathor was looking out for, (which was also what Anstruther predicted, so the Ralathor Anstruther theory makes more sense here) but this does not explain how Ralathor got into the Evil Dimension in album 3, since Ralathor does greet Angus XIII like an old friend, and it's been implied Ralathor has been there for at least several months (the terror-vortex puts people in random times I think) so the Questlords thing would still explain this. After part 3, you should do a theory series on Gloryhammer, I'd love to see it.
