METALHEAD reacts to Tim Akkerman - Nemo (Beste Zangers)

Great reaction. In the show Tim said that is was difficult to choose a Nightwish song because of the complex arrangements and the duration of the songs. Songs in the TV show may take a maximum of about 3 minutes in order to fit 7 singers singing the songs and the in between interviews with the singers about their choices and keeping all within the hour. So maybe that's why Tim choose to speed up the song in his arrangement. Maybe you can also react to the other songs of Floor sung bij Samantha Steenwijk (great dutch version of Our decades in the sun) and Emma Heester (beautiful version of Strong from After Forever). And don't bother (to much) about all the haters who can't live with the choices YOU make. Like I said on other reaction video's if they want to enjoy non interrupted songs, then listen to the original video and NOT to a reaction video. If people think they can do better, then let them make their own reaction video's. Also I'm getting sick and tired of putting everyone in a specific box regarding appearances. Does everybody who calls himself a metalhead have to look the same way? That would be boring. Be proud of yourself and your own looks no matter what other people say!.

The show controlled the length of the songs. That is what the show was about. Was singing the songs of the other singers or songs that meant something to them in their own style of singing or try to sing it the singers style. It was a great show. All the singers were really good. Thank you for doing this..... :-)

I understand being biased. I've got a Floor obsession, so i know all about Nightwish and being biased. lol. Doesn't mean I can't love anyone else singing their songs. And this is a totally different version all together. I like how they give their own spin to songs on this show. They can all show their creativity and because it's not a competition, they can just celebrate each others talent.

Tim Akkerman used to be front singer of the band Di-Rect. For some weird reason they were huge in The Netherlands and Indonesia. But not much outside of those countries I think...

I love this version, as i love the original. I think Tim did make this song his own, actually, the way it is, this could've been one of his own songs, were it not a cover. I like the uptempo, i like the rawness and i like the overall delivery of the song, its powerful, a bit hype in the right way and ... its truly Tim. Thnx for the upload and react Fuchs :)

fun fact, tuomas did wrote the song in this higher speed and in making it better fit he reduced the speed alot before finalizing the song so it was basicly brought back to tuomas first idea of the song xD

Phantom of the opera by Floor and Henk Poort is amazing too, it's from the same show, beste zangers. It's in the style of Nightwish too. Edit: NVM, found it, you already seen it lol. :D

Great version. He gave his soul. Tuomas' songs are several songs in one, really complex. It was the easier to sing and play for non-metal singers and musicians.

Nice, he did it very well.👏 I agree with making the beat a little slower. I tried listen to him again in 0.75x playback speed and it sound better.👌 Don't worry much about that metalhead looks. To me your knowledge in metal bands and how you react, comment to them is already an approval.🤘🤘 *Are you being serious saying you're 4 foot 2? @@gabriel.bardac It is closer to the original mood, yes. But... I think it goes to the detriment of the cover. This _isn't_ just a sped up version of the original; it's in a completely different style. And the faster pacing fits better with the rock style. In my opinion.

@@rdevries3852 Looking back, this one stands as a good rock version, fitting Tim Akkerman's style. In fact both Nightwish's songs adapted in Floor's episode stands for itself very well, raising the bar of the entire show.

Es wurde hier zwar schon geschrieben, aber ja, Tim wollte unbedingt was von Nightwish performen, aber er sagte in der Show, dass die Lieder alle viel zu lang sind für die Show. Deshalb hat er eines der kürzeren Stücke genommen und es, damit es in die Show passt zu einer Uptempo Version gemacht. Definitiv seine ganz eigene rockigere Version^^ Ich würde dir auch noch "Tim Akkerman - Dear mr. president | Beste Zangers 2019" empfehlen. Das war sein stärkster "solo"-Auftritt, auf den aber bis jetzt keiner reacted hat, da die meisten nur rund um Floor kreisen x)

great version! You told that Tim was'not so succesfull. That is not entirely true. He is a former lead singer of the band Direct. Until he decided to go solo. Direct still exists and now also has a great lead singer.

@@alexeyzayko3464 I honestly think the others did not know the song given the lack of exposure in the Netherlands of Nightwish (then!) and they just watched Tim perform a good rock number with zeal and passion. I thought he crushed it, ballsy move to take a complex song like that and perform it.
