Man, what a very tasty lesson. Freddie Stones sound is so signature. He put down some stinky rhythm and you nailed it with this lesson. Keep it tasty Maestro...!

Was Freddie Stone the guitarist who played that fantastic lick on "In Time" off the Fresh Album. You will know it when you hear it.

Cant be sure, either Freddie or Sly himself

Love these lessons. Any chance you could say something about how you get your sound?

Thank you for watching! Yeah, this is all just an 80's ESP 400 series tele straight into a Magnatone Varsity reverb amp. No pedals, just pure cranked up amp tone. Dirtier tone was just amp cranked up more. Reverb from the amp.

Really impressed. I thought I was getting some compression in the chain there but this must be post if it’s there at all.

More in the groove meister’s pot ! Excellent Rick! Btw when ever Sly got stopped for traffic violations he always used to give his brother’s name - same but different ! 😂

I was playing Higher wrong. There's something weird in the song where it skips a beat somewhere after the chorus, it always throws me off. Great lessons!

This can be a real tricky one Jim... it is not consistently this part, there are other things going in there too sometimes
