The problem i face with building is that although my skills are above average and I've watched every khaios tutorial, I only find the end product enjoyable and not the process of making it. So whenever I'm out of houses for NPCs, or whenever I need a new pylon active, it's always followed by several hours to even days of procrastination, until I either succumb to the wooden shoebox or do random self-assigned side quess until I quite literally have nothing else to do and spend 30-60 minutes on a meticulous build that takes up half the screen but houses 2 NPCs. Building slowly starts feeling like a job in which you have to impress your superiors (your inner perfectionist) and if you fail, you dont get paid (the dopamine).

Man, I'm ngl there used to more punch to the Company's PSA's. I used to shit my britches and piss my sheets whilst watching, now I just eat my spaghetti and get on with my day...

Some of these look like the kind of builds I try to put together before being interrupted by the Blood Moon, Eye of Cthulu, King Slime, Goblin Invasion, Skeletron Prime, Destroyer, The Twins, Pirate Invasion, Solar Eclipse, Goblin Invasion (hardmode), random flying turtle shell moving at insane velocities, random wyvern, Deerclops and of course that random blue slime and now it's raining slimes.

Building is the real main focus of Terraria and I'm tired of pretending that it's not.
