The movie ending didn't make any sense. With stopping future Quinn as the killer, Lucy should have erased herself from existence entirely. Also, how could she simply stay in 2003? Apart from the fact that she's completely undocumented in this era (how could she even apply for the NASA internship?) the time-space-continuum should have crashed. The ending I would have wished for, which would have also been happy and ensured her existence was Lucy going back to 2024 with her sister being alive and an adult in this timeline. And because Summer remembered Lucy's visit from the future, she then begged her parents to have another child. And maybe they would have been let in on the whole time travel thing too because they met Lucy in 2003 as Summer's friend. I know that time travel movie logic is always a little flawed, but they could have at least TRIED to not choose the most random ending.

I loved this movie. The fashions reminded me of high school! Loved it.

*spoilers* ... i think the time-travelling aspects of the movie were very interesting. basically, the way i understand it, and correct me if i'm wrong, the timeline changes multiple times. the beginning of the movie is an alternate timeline where the slasher (older Quinn) has already gone back in time. Him going back in time and killing Summer and her friends had a ripple effect and created a new timeline where the murders happened and Lucy was born. Lucy then goes back in time stops older Quinn from killing Emma and Summer, which creates another new timeline where she was never born (that's why her parents didn't know who she was when she went back to 2024). There's at least 3 timelines created by all this time-travelling.

You'd think that Quinn would target the people who threw him into the river, instead of Summer for rejecting his romantic intentions, or for laughing at the incident. Also, Lucy and Summer seem oddly comfortable around Quinn, even after knowing that an alternative version of him is a serial killer.

It was marketed as a slasher time travel flick, a la "Totally Killer" , but there was surprisingly little gore or slashing. The plot worked best when it focused on Lucy and Summer as sisters, and might have been better as a simple time travel story.

I think the purpose of turning Halloweentown gray was to lure Marnie & Aggie there and have the spell affect them, draining their powers, so they can’t stop him from turning humans into creatures.

This one wasn’t the best but it was still good I didn’t get over the fact that they replaced her and recasted someone else to play Marnie in return to Halloween town that was weird and it sucked that we didn’t get to see Kimberly play Marnie again in the 4th one

i watched it last night. i couldnt stand the guy. the dude couldnt read the room or pick up on her anxiety whatsoever, and then had the audacity to text her 100 times. i been in the situation where i get ghosted before, and it sucks but you're just supposed to move on. sending 100 texts and following her isn't gonna help at all.

In my honest opinion, Umbrella Academy season 4 is worse than Game of Thrones season 8. The Umbrella Academy is now in the same level as other disappointing finales like Dexter and Lost. Say what you will about Game of Thrones season 8. At least, the final season of Game of Thrones did had its moments, the battles are epic, the performances are outstanding, beautiful scenery, great music score, and very good production values. Though I agree that it could’ve done better. Truth be told, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Samurai Jack, His Dark Materials, and Doom Patrol have way better and wonderful finales anyway. I guarantee Stranger Things and The Boys will have a much better ending than The Umbrella Academy and this time end in a good note.

I’m so glad you brought this up, it’s always bothered me about this movie. Why are we counting down to November 1st?!?! Why are we counting down from 60, why are we counting down at all?! We don’t even countdown from 60 on New Year’s, the holiday centered around a countdown!

Umbrella Academy for me is just the first two seasons. In every detail in this show there is something wrong and stupid Ben can tell Klaus everything but no. Allison saw Reggie as an alien and didn't say anything not to mention that she and Sloane didn't come back but suddenly Allison is here but Sloane was forgotten. Victor is the most hateful character in this show because I hate his character so much I don't even want to talk about his contradiction and that he is useless and he is supposed to be the strongest among them and secondly why is Klaus afraid of even a breath of air refusing to have his strength returned to him what is this nonsense and stupidity all the time why was he locked in the grave and didn't use his powers and waited for Allison to save him oh my god every time I remember this season I feel angry and why Layla and number 5 why the hell is there zero chemistry between them Layla is the mother of three children and the wife of a brother only why number 5 what happened to you why didn't you fall in love with a tree trunk or a mouse or another manician. I say that maybe this is a prank, they can't be that stupid and unprofessional.

its like they made luther dumber and dumber as the seasons went on and i hated that, same with Diego. The 5/Lila crap was the most unnecassary addition to the season. 5 and Lila have never had any feelings for each other, the only thing they ever had in common was that they both worked for the same agency, the only time she ever got close to 5 was to steal his power. Like i get tired of this over used trope and the fact that they created the most cringey version of it. Like didnt we have enough of this Lila/Diego drama in season 3, they couldve just say the source of their issues was because of what happened to their "son" in season 3 couldve been making both of them feel guilty and using that guilt to blame each other for years, hell she couldve just found a past version of diego or something (Im making stuff at this point). I do understand the marriage issues because yes that happens when you hit the 5th-6th year mark of marriage, but to do it just to create uneeded drama is just grabo. this whole season told me they didnt care about their characters, and they dont remember how the characters were. Luther shouldve never regained his monkey form because that wasnt his power, the laser eyes were pointless and were used mostly for a trash joke.

Five of seasons 1-3 and Five of season 4 are completely different characters. The one we fell in love with would never have done that to Diego. That Five never lost hope, even if there was no hope. He killed a lot of people and all this for the sake of his family. On the contrary, he reprimanded Laila for torturing Diego. In my opinion, it was not love, but just a feeling of affection. Five probably thought it was love, but it was probably just a feeling of affection. I feel very sorry for Diego... He didn't deserve this. And he deserved a better girlfriend than Lila, who eventually dumped him anyway. Laila is also to blame that she did not want to strengthen her marital relationship somehow, did not want to calm Diego down and prove her loyalty to him. I hated Lila this season, and she was my favorite character after Five, Klaus and Ben. What happened in episode 5 doesn't exist for me! Five would never do that to Diego!

my memory of this movie is somewhat tainted but i have a lot of nostalgia for all 3 movies

I had never watched the show before season 4. I did watch episodes 1 and 2 of season 1 when it came out, but completely forgot about it until I heard my mon watching season 4, so I binged the series in 2 days (only because I started it late at night). I loved the show, but season 4 just felt so off to me and so wrong, and Five and Lila's story felt so unnecessary. I didn't even care the siblings had to die, I understand the reason why they had to because of the Marigold causing the apocalypse, but everything else just felt worse. Also, thanks for explaining Abigail's whole thing (what little we did know), like how she died on the home planet because I didn't understand that

You turned a complete mess what this season was into such a wonderful ending to the show in my imagination, i hope in the other timeline your rewritten story was canon

I love this movie and in most aspects yeah this movie is better than the first movie, what bothers me is that as much as I enjoy Halloweentown High o wish they did a actual sequel to this movie where the Cromwells face Cal again because they said he would be back and they would be waiting but we never see Cal again and he's never even mentioned again like WTF 🤦

This is a really good review I think the sorry scene is moreso about him showing that no matter how many times he says it or how convincing it is, he cant be forgiven for what he's done to these girls - so he has to make them forget.
