It appears the product is a power line filter to reduce power line hissing noise at most. There should be no change in the audio as @RadiationNetwork pointed out. To test your changes, you will need to record the audio out of your HDMI receiver with and without the adapter inline. Plug an audio wire from the back of the receiver back into your PC and record both. Then you can look at the wave form to see if there is an actual difference or if the placebo effect is causing the auditorial difference. Open the device and show us the insides. Would be interesting to see what is actually in there.

Worthless scam product! I would say you were scammed but you probably got it for free for a review. HDMI is digital, the audio is digital. Products like capitalize on misconceptions about digital signals. The way HDMI works is by transmitting a series of 1s and 0s, meaning that there is no gradual signal degradation like with analog signals. Either the signal is good enough to display perfectly, or it fails entirely, resulting in obvious errors (like screen artifacts or no picture at all). The concept of "clearing up" or "enhancing" a digital signal to reduce "noise" doesn't really apply here. If anything, adding a third-party device like this could introduce more points of failure, potentially causing signal interference, latency, or degradation if not implemented properly. Additionally, terms like "active noise cancellation" and "jitter elimination" are more relevant to analog systems and do not have much real-world impact on HDMI audio/video. In a well-functioning HDMI setup, jitter or noise isn't something users should worry about. This product preys on technologically illiterate users who don’t fully understand the differences between digital and analog signal processing.

With respect, why are you interested in improving video when you watch a projector. Also, is it possible that the iSilencer just has an exciter effect (eg. 5K) in it?

I wasn’t aiming to improve video, if you watch the video the focus was improving audio

I use a USB power bank and it's CLEAN with zero noise. Did you mention how you're feeding the DAC's with music? Over USB, Optical or Coax? If over USB then you can bump up the quality well above 44.1. Mine is 384 on my E30 version 1.

Hello, Good content, can you tell me what type of cable have you used from your dac to your av receiver to get the 192 khz lossless? I was looking to get somthing out from a usb dac (that pulles 192khz) into av receiver. Or can the dac built in the av receiver can send lossless 192 via speakers bypasing extenal usb dac ? Thanks

I have Gustard x16 dac and fil audio Streamer. I connected the streamer to the dac with a USB cable. I also connected the Dac to my Klipsh the fives active speakers with an rca cable. When I turn on music from the Streamer app, there is no sound. The screen on the dac shows “dsd 24.5mhz” and does not change at all. There is no signal from the Streamer to the dac. What could be the reason? Does the USB not work? Is USB 2.0 depowered to carry a signal? Do I need to update my Gustard x16 dac?

Hi Dan, another great video! My ears aren’t very golden (I’m no audiophile) and I was only able to listen on my Bluetooth (AirPods Pro2) headphones ,but I definitely thought the e30ii seemed less laid back more forward and a bit louder. Still enjoyable though and really not that much different from the original. However, that could entirely be down to both KZbin and Bluetooth compression. Personally, I really like my chord mojo2. I wish I could let you try it, but I’m on the other side of the world. Also, because I’m in the U.K it was much cheaper to buy (£350 on sale about $680 AUD) than it is elsewhere in the world, and that made it a much better proposition for me, than it would be for international customers. There’s actually many direct rivals to the mojo2 I would have to spend much more money (£200-400) to get here in the U.K that are a very similar price to the mojo2 internationally. Sorry for another question, but in your personal opinion, do you think a lower cost linear power supply would still be a sonic improvement over something like the ifi power2? All the very best!
@danbrethertonАй бұрын
Your assessment of the sound is spot on, the e30II is more forward and louder. I would love to get a Mojo 2 and will more than likely be my next dac.

Yeah I’m convince any linear power supply would be better than an IFi product

Hi Dan great informative video. I like your honest and friendly presentation. Not enough friendly audiophiles in the community, unfortunately. I was hoping you could help me out? I can’t find the actual cable length online, not even on their website. Ideally, I need them to be 2 meters or more to fit in my wiring loom. I’m perhaps looking to purchase two, one for my WiiM pro and another for my Mojo2 Dac. I’m also upgrading my powerstrips to Tacima CS947 conditioners at the same time. Obviously, I completely understand if you’re too busy, as this is an older video, and I’m very late to the conversation. P.s you have a beautiful country and I’m always shocked by how open, friendly and talkative most the people are! All the very best from the other side of the world!

I looked.up the roller.on Richmond's website. The sku is CRR007. It actually is zinc plated, not stainless which makes sense as its only about $22 including GST. There is a stainless option. It's closer to $50 all in. For the record as soon as I said what I was after the guy said you've got an ozito mower, don't you! He's seen this video too. 😂

G'day Dan, I've searched a lot of videos until I came across your video. Would you kindly help me? I believe my garage door opener is the same as yours (Steel-line SD800). I am trying to connect a (Hikvision Relay) to it. Basically my question is: Does it matter what + or - to connect when connecting the "push Botton" wire to "receiver"from the relay? in your video I can see there is one blue and one brown cable for door sensor which I don't have on my door, then you have one tiny blue and white cable which I believe is for "push button". My question is if you swap the blue with brown, would that damage the sensor? or if you swap tiny blue with white, would that damage anything? I appreciate your response. Cheers, Kaveh

Dear Dan, Please don't run Bluetooth from your ipad to your gustard. That's just horrible. if you had an android device that supported LDAC that's at least near lossless but ipad is limited to the horrendous AAC codec which is like 300kbps. Basically, you're getting MP3 quality. If you run a USB connection from a suitable device the sound quality will improve absolutely massively.

Put a Pyrex bowl under it to catch the cleaning water - saves any overflow and it's a chance to see what's being cleaned out. Denture cleaning tablets are much cheaper and more effective.

Hi Dan, this is a lovely video, very informative. I am thinking of getting a Wiim Pro Plus Streamer, will this make a difference in SQ output? It's going to go through my Marantz Cinema 70s. What is your honest take on this setup? Best Regards
@danbretherton3 ай бұрын
Yes I honestly do think it would make a difference, just think the only real difference between these lower priced streamers and dacs compares or the higher end products are the power supplies so a better power supply just takes the cheaper products up closer to this level.
@aj8ky16 күн бұрын
I don’t know if you’ve brought one yet, but just wanted to say that I recently upgraded the WiiM pro with ifi power supply and there is a definite improvement in sq. I also added one to my external Dac and I don’t regret either in the slightest. If you buy one on Amazon you can return it if it doesn’t work out for you.

He knows nothing, He is not a paid shill. Just ignorant has no knowledge of the evolution of the recording industry and the media it produces for sale. He won't spend $12 and buy a SACD with the SACD equipment he is sent to review. Then he does a poll with comments turned off about who buys SACD. Coward. It is not about who wins a popularity contest it is about what is more superior Dark Side of the Moon 30th edition on SACD or the 50th anniversary edition on Atmos and Blu-ray. Listen to Billy Joel The Stranger on Multichannel DSD SACD. Then listen to the Apple Music spatial crap of the same recording. No comparison. I like what you are doing "downloading" DSF, PCM and FLAC multichannel recordings for the best ever sounding recordings. You have to listen to the 7.1 channel Bob Marley FLAC as well. Do you use a Eversolo to listen to multichannel DSD / DSF, FLAC or PCM using the HDMI audio out into your processor. Simply the best way to go.

Yes I would love to get an eversolo but at the moment it’s Roon for 5.1 and Zappiti media player for bluray audio
