Over 350 ships, over 10,00 lives lost to them great lakes, especially that lake Michigan. God bless em All.

Put this on a JBL 710 in a small guest bedroom. It’ll be too rough to feed ya. It’ll be worth it.

Grew up near Superior and have swam in her shallows at the height of Summer. She literally takes the breath from you when you leap in, even at the height of Summer. I can not imagine the state of the waters in the hurricane winds of the Witch of November... RIP crew and my heart to the family left to carry the weight of the loss of those men. And deep shame to those who published that reprehensible report blaming of the loss of that titan on the mishandling of the crew. Deep, Abiding Shame.

RIP Gordon Lightfoot.. still listening to you like an old friend ... thank you for your music. My Dad listened (and still does) to your music when I was growing up and I'll never forget how much comfort and nostalgia it brings me everytime I hear a Good ol' Lightfoot ballad. Those days were the beginning of my love for music of all kinds. Thanks Mr. Lightfoot. I love you, Dad. Thank you for always treating me with love and respect and encouraging my dreams. I wish every kid had a Dad like you. This world would be a better place.♡

11/22/24: To this day, EVERY time I revisit this and listen to this haunting melody, I get misty 😢 SUCH a moving song for such a horrible tragedy 😢 💔 Many sailors that, after their first passage aboard this ship, said they would never again board this 'death trap' of a ship. 🤨

I love his music. This is an American anthem to those of us around the Great Lakes. I’m close to and been on Ontario many times. The smallest of the Great Lakes. It was huge to me.

My mother in law lives in Duluth. Her dad was a captain working on the Great Lakes. When we went to visit her, I walked down the street to the lake and I stood on the shore and *you can't see the other side.* Imagine being on the water during a storm and you cannot see the shore; you feel lost already
