Second, the word became flesh when Mary gave her fiat - her yes to become the mother of the savior; her own flesh is that that became the human nature of Christ. And third when Jesus was a babe, Mary held heaven itself in her arms, the divine child. When any man truly loves a woman, he holds her like heaven in his arms. And fourth, when you love a woman, a man cannot refuse her selfless request to help others. And finally, when he called her woman at Cana he was calling her to be the universal mother of all mankind! INNOCENCE, PENITENCE, AND PRIESTHOOD, at the foot of the cross. The passion and crucifixion as a mystical wedding, with the beginning of a family in St. John as the first born son of the Church.
