I started listening to Bishop Sheen as a child in 1959-1960. My family would watch re-runs of his show: "Life is worth Living". In the 1970's I would listen to his retreat sermons - sermons such as these. When I get to Heaven I will be there because of two people, my godmother and Bishop Sheen. God love you Bishop Sheen, convert my family!

⁠@@luzm.9868God needs NOT our submission of our will to HIS will. God is OMNIPOTENT-HE has the power to DISALLOW our choices/our will. By NOT using HIS power to disallow man’s choices/will, God reconciles our will to HIS divine will- to fulfill Scripture. Joseph’s account is one example of God’s reconciliation of man’s will -even evil- to HIS will. With/in HIS Omnipotent power, God could have DISALLOWED the evil actions of Joseph’s brothers by keeping their plan from fruition. But God, in HIS Omniscience and POWER, reconciled the brothers’ evil will(s) to HIS divine will and to HIS divine plan. My own life is, little by little, becoming bearable-even with a profound pain/sadness in HIS calling my sons home- as the revelation of “God’s will be done on earth. . . “ brought me to my knees. I look to Jesus’ “Let not my will but thine be done.” God reigns Supreme. HE is in total charge of ALL. Blessings.

“. . . thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. . .” God reigns Supreme. HE is Omniscient Omnipotent, Omnipresent. HE is in total charge of ALL ppl/things. All events - past, present, future (with ‘future’ being from any current time, moving forward)-are God’s divine will. In our most profound pain/sadness/unbearable grief, only God can open our ears/eyes and circumcise our hearts to bring us to our knees to accept HIS divine Will. As was HIS will that HIS only son, Christ Jesus, be crucified for us.

Even though he did his best to abide by the nonsense that came out of Vatican Council II, Bishop Sheen always managed to ever say anything that was unorthodox. Unlike many of his contemporary colleagues, he maintained the Faith!.
