I find this figure interesting in the fact that everyone in my family that grew up with Thundercats prefer the new Lion-O. There not into collecting figs so don't know if that plays into it but with a little paint I think the figure looks awesome. I myself didn't have major QC issues except I did switched the biceps and made a huge difference.

I don’t get why they substantially changed Lion-O. The new one is bad compared to the Ultimates version . Even when stripped of accessories, lion-O is overpriced for the quality and ugly look. Monkian remains awesome though.

I have those 7" bandai versions. They're great! Really imposing. Not too expensive at the time. Sad it cancelled.

You can paint those areas. I have. You have to use a good lacquer and it’ll create a hard shell and protect it

You missed the 7” line from Bandai that was also short lived. From the classic and remake. People relate the franchises because they were created and animated by the same exact people. thunder Cats, He-Man, Silver Hawks and Brave Starr supported to be coexisting within the same universe.

I have the old Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li, all have flaking paint on their hair or their soft rubber clothes. I posed them just once to display, and the ankles can't hold up the weight of the figure and keeps tumbling on my cabinet. Some of the ratchet joints in the knees get loose because it grinds the nylon plastic, instead of making it friction fit like high-end Mafex or Figuarts. While, I still like them as they resemble the SF2 video game I play on my PS4, the quality and the hype seems to be overblown with many collectors glazing about it and not actually disclosing the issues and flaws with the product. I already have 2 replacement Chun-Li directly from Jada's warehouse, and the problem still exists.

I recently got the 1st wave and Ryu is the only one with a v1 box. However, the skin looks like v2, as it is matte and the chest piece doesn't quite match the arms. The face I think it looks more like v1, as the lips are darker, but maybe I would need to compare to another one in hand. It looks good anyway.

Is there an indicator in the box that says it is version 2 or something?

I’m sorry but all these “fans” he mentions that link thundercats to he man are extremely, ridiculously, stupid. The 2 never and I mean NEVER crossed over or were ever linked to each other. And that’s the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard of. What’s next? Are they gonna complain that he man and the thundercats don’t go with the transformers either?
