She was so glamorous and elegant. No matter what people may think or say about her, she carried herself with such grace. She basically floated on that stage when she came out

Das Konzert wirkt so steril,daß Orchester ist überhaupt nicht zu sehen,fr. Dietrich spult ihr Repertoire runter, steht einfach nur vorm Mikrofon u. Interagiert gar nicht mit dem publikum.

Dietrich didnt like that concert. Audience was invited and was not her usual crowd. She was mad that they was dressed to official and she was mad about 'pink filth' stage

I have this on DVD and haven't watched it for years. She sounds good, but but her attempts of appearing sexy at her age are terribly cringe worthy. The special would be much better without the "sexy grandma" gimmick. Anyway, thanks for uploading!

Its an odd thing about the public but we like to watch our goddesses decline, Callas, Monroe, Dietrich, Piaf and the most tragic of them all, Garland.

It all came together in that moment. Her,the dress, the Kennedy's.The pinnacle of her beauty, but that night was the beginning of the end.The "late" gag feels menacing now.

I was in the 8th grade, at the school library when i came across book 📚 series, History of the movies, which had all the past actors/actresses achievements in film 📽️. With Dietrich it concluded (thus was 1976), with this concert. I knew of her from TV reruns 📺 movies, "witness for the prosecution", in particular. Her face, the name Marlene. Of all actresses, along with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, she's the most intriguing person who was disciplined and emotionally connected in her performance tiwards the audience. What a treat to finally see the legendary Dietrich stunningly performance, i seen a VHS back in 1993, however not merely as clear version as of this gem 💎🎶. 🎉

What I admired most of Dietrich, (aside from her glamorous image) is her discipline. It comes up with time to most of us, if ever. Journey through life, communicable through her songs. Impeccable. 🌱⛲💎⭐💙

I love her..but why did she have to tell lies?? She knew Garbo OF COURSE and many people know and have confirmed they not only knew eachother but they were together as well and that Marlene was in love with Greta but she also broke Greta's heart to some extent.. . . Of course this was still a very homophobic era and she couldn't possibly say the truth but still, why tell such an outrageous lie, that she didn't even know her!----💔💔💔

During this time of history, there was such a thing as elegance. Today when actors try to pretend they’re elegant remind me of school children selling lemonade on the sidewalk.
