How very fortunate are your sons that they have a dad like you to teach them how to properly hunt and gut the kill. As a native American woman I have been around plenty of tribal men who have had to also learn this important life survival skill. Good vlog and thanks for sharing.

I don't want to make this a negative comment, so in a positive meant way let me say that the guide for putting on taller tires is "does it fit" is such bad information. I am surprised your tire shop didn't give you a heads up on the effects of tire height of factory vs aftermarket. You MUST consider your gear ratio and match within the correct ratios if you want your transmition /motor to perform at peak levels. Your truck might or might not be within acceptable guidelines but not mentioning that playing with changing your gear ratios with taller tires is remiss. Not all taller tires are good whether they fit or not. You might mention that your experience was and is your own and probably will not work for everyone. Thanks for your videos and take this as constructive advice and not a criticism.

Aggressive 37x12.50 will rub the sway bar and radius arms when doing real off road with factory wheels. Doesn't hurt much but just so people know it will rub the paint off and make some noise.

I don't understand why one would install 37's. 35 inch tires are extremely capable. I drive a Wrangler with 4 inch lift, have rims with integrated wheel spacers and could easily fit 37's but I'm not doing it because it is possible to tackle pretty hard trails with the current setup. I did a black diamond rated trail, gnarly trails in my home state and in B.C. without any issues. Sure 37's makes life maybe easier.
@rockie3079 күн бұрын
The bigger heavier the vehicle the larger tire you need. The diff on the tremor with 37s will be about the same height or slightly lower then a jeep on 35s. Heavy duty trucks require large heavy duty axles and such to be able to haul heavy loads off road without breaking. A truck this big needs big tires if doing serious off road.

VHB tape should work to secure the aluminum to the steel. There's a product called StarBoard, it’s used primarily in marine applications, it’s a UV stable high density polyethylene board. which would eliminate any possibility of any kind of rotting or decay. VHB tape that to your trailer frame and ain’t nothing going anywhere ever well until the frame rusts away. awesome craftsmanship awesome ideas awesome video. Keep it up.

You may consider buying rims that push the tires out by 10-20mm. Would need to do more detailed measurements. Also consider what happens if/when tires are caked with mud/snow/ice. I have an F-150 an no way 37" would work for that platform. After my factory tires need to be replaced, will do 35's.

My concern is when you are going off road and the suspension needs to flex and move due to bumps it the road when turning sharp corners. Does the tire still clear enough that it will not rub against the suspension parts? It may be fine sitting on a flat surface as you demonstrated or on a lift, but does that chanage when the suspension is under load or real life conditions?
@DrenalinAdventures13 күн бұрын
Looks good so far. I just back from a trip with a full load. Seems good so far.
@CanadianSledDog13 күн бұрын
I feel like this might be a downgrade for you in real performance. I run 31.5 duratracs on my 4Runner with a modest lift, and I run it on ATV trails all year, even in 3 feet of snow. I would like to go up a little but I would not go over 35x12.5 unless I was building a rock crawling rig or a dedicated snow wheeler. Duratracs have an excellent sidewall tread and your new tires have virtually none (that's bad in soft terrain). I think you're going to be spinning a lot of weight too and burning more gas but also your truck will feel less powerful. Also if you have to add spacers, they will be hell on your front end.
@DrenalinAdventures13 күн бұрын
Thanks. Spacers really aren’t an option for me with the weight i carry. The sidewalls on the Falkins would have been nice. Time will tell on this decision.
