Hi. Rob here from Cape Town, South Africa. I'm wanting to start up detecting. Looking at getting the Nokta FindX Pro. Is that decent for a beginner? What do you do with the valuable jewelry that you find? Do you take them to pawn shops for cash? Is that worth while or is there a better way to get cash from them? Thanks

I haven’t detected at night for a while. I appreciate your sharing your hunts and providing some cool, relaxing detecting entertainment. PS: Your ring appears to he set with garnets and looks to be in good shape. Don’t sell it for scrap. Polish it up and sell it online. You will get more than $100. Some of the beaches in the Bay Area are technically federal land and it’s technically illegal. Also I’d definitely stay out of any tide pool areas or protected wildlife sanctuaries. Other than that you’re good in CA as far as I know. I’ve gotten more hassled in parks than anywhere else.

Sucks about the ticket..... I know when I was in FL my fruend got a ticket but they changed the times so they conflicted with the website, 😢and my friend was able to get off on that.

I just got the 1000w yesterday. It was 8 degrees out and when I hit 30 mph my eyes started tearing up and freezing. I can't wait for Spring. I have a steep hill in my neighborhood as well and I hit 15mph in peddle assist 5 going up it. This bike is amazing.

Another great hunt on the books. I recently donated to the pothole fill program, ie got a ticket. 🎫 I know that gut feeling of racing the meter or gate. Good effort on the phone hunt. I found one last march that was lost 3 months earlier and in the water and it was sealed and came back to life with a charge and returned so there’s hope for that lady. 👨🦯➡️

My Voyager does the same thing. I’m really going to watch a lot more before any upgrades. I understand the more expensive machines can be programmed, but in reality, metal is metal. I’ve spent the last 32 years in a machine shop and metal is metal.

@@spaceman5563 Great idea to watch more video’s and see what the users thoughts are. I just upgraded from the Equinox 800 to the 900 and love how it doesn’t pick up many of the bottle tops even sitting on the surface at a park. It eliminates most but not the really high numbers some give off. Pro’s and Con’s with all detectors as you know! Happy hunting my friend👍😎

The ticket was BS.!!! Gotta believe the iron tone was black sand influenced. I have not encountered that issue yet. And if XP would fix the design issues the Deus II would be far superior to the Manticore IMO. Certainly less 2nd guessing with the D2.

What's the design issue with the deus 2? I just got it for black friday and only used it a few times so far because it's been snow here, I didn't notice any issues yet, I'm curious what the issue is

@ Charging issues with coil and box. 5 pin connection on the control box is a weak design (especially because it’s the same connection for wired headphones and charging potentially leading to have to disconnect and connect with each use. Control box falls off easily. My coil battery went bad within 9 months. Not sure if that’s common though. I still love the machine, just wish XP would acknowledge and address these issues.

@Brenda.727 ahh I see I ordered a dues 1 HF coil and it went dead on me in 4 months , so I ordered a second battery and it seemed to work, but went dead again in a couple days, so the coil was somehow killing batteries XP sent me a replacement coil with battery and so far it's working The control box falling off is a issue I heard of before, mine came with a control box lanyard/clip but I don't use it because I keep the box on my go pro strap, but the box falls off the go pro strap when I bend over sometimes, the deus 1 never did The coil charging clip is finicky, I broke one on my deus one once, and on both the deus one and deus 2 it doesn't sit on good I havnt had any issues with the control box charging yet, but I definitely liked the USB on the deus 1 box better
