I live super far from the fires so no impact at home thankfully. But I’m driving down the coast right now and I’m about to head right into it. Hopefully it’s contained enough to not cause crazy traffic

Enjoyed the video, as always! I have potentially ignorant questions to ask.....does anyone vertically detect the cut? Is the point just that the wet is more exposed or that stuff was washed out of the areas of the dry that hasn't been exposed before?

You can definitely detect the side of the cut. I do it every now and then. I’ve even found a ring like that one time in Santa Cruz. I think you don’t often see people doing it is because it gets tiring pretty quick 😮‍💨😂
