I'm currently making a peace pipe stem and was looking to do some inlays in it. This is a great process to achieve the desired look I'm after. Thank you for your video.

I want do the inset so my stick will still look like one piece. What is the width of the end pieces? Thanks.

Hello. The threaded parts of the coupler that get glued into your stick measure .473" and .354". Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions.

If it heats up quickly what's the solution sir?
@treelineusaАй бұрын
Usually, heat means that the bearings are starting to wear out. You can give it a good cleaning and if that doesn't fix the heating up issue, then you probably need to replace the bearings.

Thank you for your informative tutorial on the Flexcut Slipstrop. I have been getting real frustrated trying to get my flexcut knives sharpened... Also I agree with the other person's question about the flexcut compound for its strop. Mine also is hard to use...but one day I was working in the sun and used it, and it seemed after it got warm, that it went on really well. I'm hoping to get my knives really super sharp. I wish flexcutnwoukd makenanstrop like that, but about a foot long.. Thank you again...

Does the tool ever get warm or hot to the touch? I know some tools you need to stop and turn it off so it cools down or burn your hand. Also, does it take Dremel bits?
@treelineusa3 ай бұрын
Good question. No. These handpieces should never get hot in your hand. If they do, that is usually and indication that the bearings have gone bad in them. And yes. The Strong 250 will accept any Dremel bits including any other 1/8" or 3/32" shank bit. Be careful if you purchase cheap bits online that are advertised as 1/8" but in reality are 3mm. 3mm is just slightly smaller and will not work in the micromotor handpiece. Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions. 1.800.598.2743

I was looking for the solution and it was really hard to find because I didn’t even know what you would call device/tool like this. Main problem for me is I’m using Bamboo, and Bamboo of course it’s not standardized in terms of its size/width. Do you have any adviceon how you could somehow get your aperture/screws to fit into a piece of bamboo that was larger than the circumference of the couplers?

You mention using the charcoal filter for carving antler, but what is the charcoal rating? Is it 80% and is that fine enough for deer antler?
@paulpeery294 ай бұрын
Great question! The charcoal filter is a 30% efficiency filter that is usually used in tandem with another filter. The charcoal filter, coupled with any of the other filters (30%, 60% or 80%) should be effective in dust collection for antler dust and reducing the smell.

I am looking into buying one of these and I must say this is one of the best KZbin channels as far as people posting questions and TreeLine USA answering in a useful, truly helpful way, in detail. Most don't care at all beyond selling tools, etc., and that is one very frustrating thing when making decisions to go with one brand/tool or another. KUDOS TL USA! You mention that California Air compressors run much quieter than most others; do you sell the NSK Presto II kit(s) bundled with California Air compressors? If not, what model California Air compressor do you think is best to use with the NSK Presto II? Kindly advise.
@treelineusa4 ай бұрын
HI Jay! Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to help anytime. We don't sell the California Air compressors but we have heard a lot of good feedback from people using them with the NSK Presto tools. Most people are buying them through Home Depot or Lowes. Just be sure to get one that puts out at least 1.5cfm at 35 psi. The bigger the motor and tank the less it will be running. Feel free to give us a call and we are always happy to help over the phone. 1.800.598.2743

How do you get the color to go into the texture of the wood. I have issues with that. I use Prismacolor though.
@treelineusa6 ай бұрын
Some woods will be easier than others (pine is probably the worst). I would be sure to sand the wood to at least 220 grit (finer if possible) and it will be much easier to apply the color.

Great video PJ! I have the Strong 202 and just wondering how the 250 is different. Does it have more power or just a new design? I have love the Strong 202 and used it for several projects.
@treelineusa6 ай бұрын
Great question! The main difference is in the power supply. It has just a little more power and the on/off switch is a little more durable for people who don't use a footpedal.

@@treelineusa Thanks PJ. I'm probably going to add a Foredom to my shop next, for bigger projects or where I have to hog off more wood. I do like the Strong over the Dremel. Much more flexible and comfortable for small to medium size projects.

This is one of the things I've been shopping around for and low and behold I received the newsletter with it right there front page! Yay! :) I really wish I had this yesterday. I was rebuilding an A2 rear aperture with tritium and of course one of the detents popped out half way through. Then I was adding a 0.2mm thick washer to a rear peep sight via JB Weld and it kept skiing all over the place lol. Yeah, would have been real handy. I'll go back to the order page now...
