Am I right to assume my entire home electrical panel can be hooked up to the backup loads panel. That way when power goes out the whole home is on bat + pv, but when grid on its bat + pv + grid

It sounds like you would still need an "anti-islanding" switch to disconnect from the grid if/when the grid fails. I like the idea of how this brings ALMOST all of the external connections between the grid, your hybrid inverter(s) and your main breaker panel together into one box.

I have 5 each 5.1kwh batteries currently and want to buy an 18kpv all in one inverter to replace my 6500. the 6500 is working fine, but will want to charge a Tesla at least partially with the 18. and that means 220vac. I have some old solar panels, but the 6500 is also hooked to grid and i could use a 7000w genset for power if needed. I can hook onto 220vac grid directly to charge the Tesla, but want to use as much solar as possible for charging. suggestions?

How many of your newer indoor wall mount batteries can be connected to one 12000xp?

I'm missing something, and I don't see it in the manual either. The Grid Boss Hybrid ports are for the "GRID" input to the Hybrid inverters. Where do the EPS outputs from the Hybrid Inverters connect? Without those, there is no backup. The diagrams all show just 1 port being used for the Hybrid inverter and that doesn't make sense if the grid fails. That's when the EPS port takes over.

How to add to home wifi without pwd ? (Ie open, no wpa we etc)

Do you have a diagram for how one might connect GridBoss to a home? Like, show main meter and breaker box, show PV array, show the wiring connections in a diagram.

Requiring copper wiring is a major limit. Many large connections are going to be aluminum SER. Especially if the inverter and batteries are not located near the service entrance.

18kPV looks like a beast for us homeowners who are on or off grid.I sure hope you guys make a few videos on the differences between the 18kPV and the new flexboss and gridboss

If you already have a 200A breaker right after your meter do you still need to add a 200A breaker in the Gridboss?

It seems silly to include all of these breakers with the Gridboss. Why not ship it without breakers to make it cheaper? Then buy the breakers you need for your install. In our install we are going to use a 12KPV which means we have to buy a 50A breaker. And we don't intend to use the smart ports. Which is frustrating because the Smartport breakers are the same as the breakers used for the hybrid inverter inputs. But a 50A breaker isn't included in the Smartports
