Hey great video! Just dropped by to say that I'm still using a set of lucky titaniums around 10 years after they quit making them. Gotta love that stainless haha.

The metal cage got me out. From experience, nylon retainers are more reliable for street skateboarding. Don't trust this video.

Hi, what type of drill do u recommend? Also, I'm trying to take out the nuts on the truck, but it's attached to the truck, do you still recommend I drill into it?

Wait, should I not clean with extremely dangerous chemicals because it may damage my bearings or because they maybe harmful to breathe in? I’ve clean with all those harmful chemical shown especially alcohol and as long as you dry them quick afterwards it’s fine. I guess just don’t be an idiot, practice safety, and stuff like that.👍

Dudes comes across as a shill. I know it’s not intentional, Was doing well, until he went all ‘murica in the video then the comments. Best thing you can do is buy a reputable brand/style Whether it Swiss, ceramic or good ‘ol USA made, Then maintain them properly, like you should anything. Problem is these days, people want to buy something expensive, fit it and forget. Newsflash, the better your bearings and better the spec/tolerance, The more maintenance it needs to not fall out that window. I know things have come a long way since this video was created, But contact cleaner Compressed air And Lithium grease are your friend.

This worked for me! Had a very rusted screw that didn't budge at all. I didn't have the 2 bits that he said you needed, but what I did do was use similar size bits and kept increasing the sizes little by little. After the 3rd bit the screw fell out!

1:47 as other people stated BS !! A razor blade and a little screwdriver does the job. And they go back in too.

I used this video maybe 7 years ago when I had rollerblade bearings to clean. Now I'm using it again to clean my skateboard bearings. Thank you for making a timeless video with advice that's still good even after TikTok and KZbin shorts shows me bearing cleaning videos that use bad advice.

You mentioned materials used to make the barring's. I think that is a big deal. Good mettle can make a big difference in consistency quality strength surface deformations. Obviously machining can make a big difference as well.

The spacer sizes being slightly different doesnt matter. Not one bit. And never tighted your axle nut down like he mentioned.. leave some play.

this is so useful!! i was trying to figure out what size bearing spacers to get for my quad skates and i didn’t really understand what the difference in size meant. i’m still not quite sure because there isn’t a lot of info that i can find right now, but this has helped a lot.

Okay, so which bearing SHOULD I get for my quad skates ? I dance AND skate really fast too. I skate the skatepark bowls too. IF money is not a concern, which bearings should I get for speed and longevity?
@Hanstra4 ай бұрын
Unless you're trying to set speed records, it honestly does not matter. Get a ~$20 set from any reputable brand, clean and lubricate them occasionally, and just go out there and skate.
@ralphpeterbilbao21906 ай бұрын
Just ride the dang thing. Don’t over think, buy what you think is right for you. It’s not gonna make a difference with those measurements if its off by a milimetre, if you skate well and it makes you happy you don’t need that scientific halla ballu.

CAP!! bearings are better without the grease. Take your bearings out of your wheels remove the shields and leave them in a cup of Windex for a couple hours. Shake the bottle up to help get the grease off. Leave the shields off of your bearings, the dirt will go through one end and out the other, you’ll never have dirty bearings and the grease is unnecessary because it only helps if you’re going a certain speed and even pro skaters never go fast enough to require bearing grease

I found independent abec 7s in high school and they would out preform 80% of bearings when it came to consistency, speed and durability. I will still die on this hill but I have not used them recently as I have been trying to expand my horizons but I still have a usable set from around 2015. Thank you guys for this video though I am definitely going to try Oust.
