So for the plastic body mounts, I just used a little bit of heat and expanded the clips a little bit. Haven't had an issue ever since.

Does the radio work with 4 AA rechargeable NiMH (1.2V nominal but down to 1V/cell at the end of discharge)? Basically can the radio work with 4V supply?

I use NiMH in all my radios (which need AA or AAA), also in the X6PM-350. No issues. But I do not know if it works with 4 V, never checked. End of charge voltage of NiMH is 1,45 - 1,5 V, so a lot of energy to use down to (1.1, 1.0??? - never checked). A Lipo (not HV) has a nominal voltage of 3.7 V - and we stopp playing at 3,8 V (at least in helis and planes), ... never would run it down to 3.2 or so.

@@donaldsneffe Thanks, as soon as you apply a load the NiMH drops below 1.2V, then slowly down to 1.1 (you have to go there to recover most of the capacity). So, good to know that I can operate the radio acceptably with NiMH!!

No, no idea. Simply try again and again, switch off, on... sometimes binding needs many tries. Annoying...

No, you will need new radio and receiver, TRX-4M receiver/ESC unit does not have ch2 out plug.

Did not try. Could work if you use 1-way (no telemetry) transmission, but not sure if you could switch ch 1 and 2 of receiver 2 to channels 5 and 6, probably not.

@@carbonarne675 No, I do not think so. You have to change mode in the model from 2-way to 1-way and bind the receivers 1-way.

I was skeptical about brushless on mini crawlers (I have all my 1/10 crawlers on brushless) after a couple of Furitek systems not working well on my SCX24s. Just saw this one coming and ordered it. Looks way better and for half the price of the "poopy teck". For sure I'll be doing your same mods to it, I hate the messy wires on my rigs too. I never had issues with the TRX4m tabs, but worked with customs tabs to fit other bodies to it. Probably your issue can be solved by simply blowing some heat to the tab and moving it back to recover some tension. Give it a try!

Schön, bist du wieder zurück! Hatte schon die Befürchtung es sei aus mit deinem Kanal. Tolles Video! Meine Combo kam gerade an. Die Kabel... ich hatte mir schon beim Vorstellungsvideo von Injora an den Kopf langen müssen 🙈 Ich möchte es dir gleich tun und die Kabelei auf ein minimum reduzieren. Ebenfalls will ich den doofen Switch loswerden. Sofern möglich, werde ich dann einen mikroswitch für die BEC Spannung direkt auf dem PCB installieren. Die Idee mit dem Schrupfschlauch fand ich super! Was hast du für einen Durchmesser verwendet? Grüsse aus der Schweiz

Ich weiß nimmer - 4 cm? Das mit dem Schalter hätte ich auch gerne anders. Eventuell würde er eh rausgehen mit genug Kraft, mit zerschneiden der Hülle jedenfalls. Da es aber nur eine Platine zu sein scheint, weiß ich irgendwie nicht weiter, weil ohne wird der ESC ja nicht funktionieren. Der Schalter ohne Case würde jedenfalls gehen.

Danke für die Antwort. Hab's gerade kurz angeschaut. Die kleine Platine des Schalters hat auf der Rückseite Elektronik verbaut. Ohne genau zu wissen was sie wie tut, wird's wohl eher schwierig sie zu überbrücken. Vielleicht findest du ja eine Lösung. Ich werde es nach erster Betrachtung aber auf die Rückseite des Controllers pappen um ein Überkreuzen des Kabels zu verhindern und das Kabel auf 1cm einkürzen. Allenfalls noch ein kleines Kühlblech auf die Mosfets.

@@philipph205 Kühlblech wird eher nicht nötig sein, vermute ich. Ist ja kein Basher. Aber schaden tut es natürlich auch nicht. Ich hätte sogar so Micro-Kühlkörper hier, einen pro Mosfet - die ich auf kleine Flieger Einheiten (UMX war es glaub ich) raufgepappt hab, braucht halt auch Platz. Ich lass das derweil mal ohne. Wenn die Platine problemlos rausgeht, werde ich eventuell noch das Case entfernen, wobei es mich aktuell nicht stört, so wie es jetzt in meinem TRX-4M sitzt. Falls nötig wegen Platz nur die Platine, wieder Schrumpfschlauch drüber, und auf den ESC pappen. Schaumer mal...

Maybe I'm different, but I use xt30 in all my rigs that are smaller than 10th scale except my Orlandoo ones. I'll stick with the ph2.0 there. 😊

I love XT30 and use them for 8 or so years now (after release, first in my Oxy2). But in small rigs they are massive IMO, and room is often a big problem.

Have you tried any of those other 3.7v 18650 batteries in this. Like mine came w/only a 1200mAh one. I have some that r 4000mAh and 6000mAh was wondering if would work if so would give way more power time in between charging compared to the 1200mAh one it came with. So was wondering since I seen in your video u have some different 3.7v 18650 rechargeable batteries also u mention and show. But didn't say forsure what I'm wondering. It will work with any 18650 Li-Ion battery, I have a ton of those for my diving lights, all work/will work.

Dumbo - LDARC display is so tiny, quite hard to read and much more difficult to program. And many more receivers for Dumbo. And more programming options.

The HotRC stuff seems to be amazingly good for the money. They have a great range of interesting transmitters, too, including 2 different single handed controllers, great for making RC videos! I remember switching to DumboRC because my Flysky stuff would give me really bad latency issues in certain areas and with certain ESCs etc. The issues were resolved with Flysky's newer afhds 2a stuff, but it would have meant having to get new transitters and recievers to benefit from it, so I decided to give Dumbo a try. Dumbo was not only cheaper, but had much better range and resistance to glitching etc. The only thing that annoyed me with Dumbo, at the time was that parent company Radiolink deliberately split their higher end stuff (radiolink branded) and lower end (dumbo) so you couldn't, for example, use a Radiolink transmitter with a dumbo receiver, even though they were physically identical, because they firmware made it impossible. I didn't realise this at the time. It's nice that Dumbo have finally released a higher spec Transmitter, but it was a long time coming. The HotRC stuff seems to be even better value for money than Dumbo, with a lot of great features at lower price points plus those unique one handed transmitters etc. Seriously tempted to invest in HotRC. I'll still keep my dumbo stuff, but I might go with Hot moving forward.

The downside in HotRC for me: only few receivers available. Love the micro receivers for Dumbo (and Flysky), etc.

it is not a "designated" crawler. it is a rock "bouncer". you must modify it to achieve "crawler" designation.

Thank you for the comprehensive review and comparison. Do you have experience with the FlySky G7p? If so, would you prefer that to these two? I know the G7p is a bit more advanced in some areas at least; however, I’ve read that the G7p has issues with the mechanical durability - have you experienced any issues in that regard?

I had the G7P and made a very detailled review video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmPdkohsaq5qmJY Did not really like it so sold it to a buddy. The G7P is large and "ugly", but it is good. But I did not really like the way of programming with the stick/nob, some kind of akward, never got used to it. The 2? The 3? I like the Dumbo DDF-350 most of all those, but the G7P is good and can do a lot, if you do not mind the joystick-programming. However, the buddy I sold my G7P to used it a lot and after less than a year it was broken (guess steering had problems, no mechanical brake). But I do not have long time experience with the Dumbo RC, ... so cannot say if it will hold up better if you use it intensly.

I’ve read about a few other people who had issues with the steering or throttle within the first year, some even within weeks. I guess the potentiometers are of questionable quality.

@ donaldsneffe Do you have to keep the Bluetooth on your phone on and close by to be able to use this ESC? I can’t just turn the Bluetooth off on the phone and exit the App then run it?

For using the ESC (running the car) I did not need the phone/BT. Did you save settings? Sorry, it is long time ago, cannot exactly remember anymore and did give away my 1/10 stuff, so do not have the ESC anymore.

Ich erlaube mir dich hier etwas zu fragen weil du dich mit den CR18s offenbar intensiv beschäftigt hast ? Welche Motor alternativen zum Venom bringe ich da problemlos rein, ev. auch brushed, brauche ich/gibt es adapter ? Ich bin eigentlich SC24 Fanboy und kenn mich da gar nicht aus - habe mir jetzt den 2024 Trail Hunter bestellt weil ich den einfach so ohne rumbasteln fahren wollte, allerdings war nach zwei Minuten klar daß diese Venom/Lizard Lite Combo für mich unbrauchbar ist, sehr slow crawl und heftiger Sprung auf hohe Geschwindigkeit - so kann man nicht crawlen. Außerdem ist der Motor nach zwei Minuten so heiß wie eine Herdplatte. Wobei mir jetzt in einem anderen Video jemand geraten hat den ESC zu verbessern, hier liegen einige Pythons in der Lade, kann ich auch probieren. Sehr enttäuschend jedenfalls das Ding und RTR nur wenn man irgendwie herumbolzen will.

Ich kenn den Lizard Lite selbst nicht. Motor passt nur der Micro Komodo denke ich (hab nur Micro Komodo und Komodo und Venom und Mofo, Komodo und Mofo passen sicher nicht). Brushed passt nichts... wenn du nicht Getriebe auch wechseln willst. Es gibt inzwischen so viele verschiedene Motoren- und Getriebe-Kombos, ich hab da inzwischen auch aufgegeben, es ist zu viel. Ich hab mit Venom und Lizard Pro eigentlich nicht wirklich Probleme... (das mit dem "Sprung" hab ich schon beim Erscheinen der ersten Lizards und Komodos kritisiert, dafür bin ich genug gehasst worden).

Simply try it, many people are satisfied. Do you know how to limit maximum speed by adjusting ch.5,6or7? I tried channel mixing and end point but it just does not work. adjusting ch5 will just constantly increase ch.2 value so vehicle will just go forward in ch2 null position.

LOL - why do you think so? Honestly: "Thank you FMS for FCX-trucks" - I think those are awesome and gave a big push to the microcrawler community. I complained because it was so late available here in EU and I complain about the importer to EU, D-Power, who restricted the sales (some models were forbidden for Banggood to sell to customers from Austria and Germany).
