Correction, please ! We Ethiopians have never said St George is Ethiopian. According to the Ethiopian Orthodox teaching, St George(we say giorgis not George) was born in Lydda, palestine. But in Ethiopia we have a great love and respect for St George as he did fought beside the Ethiopian army during the 1896 Ethiopia and Italy war, at the battle of Adwa ! In one of the Ethiopian Orthodox spiritual songs we used to say ' Giorgis, the king of Lydda, make an intercession to us with God'

If you want the experience of a lifetime go to Northern Norway especially in the winter. The Polar Park is just one of the amazing adventures that await. Here is a link to our trip to Norway And Sweden in winter. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmbVY5dufNd_mLs

I would love to go to norway. But my wife and I would have find someone to watch our 6 pup's. If I was to bring one of them it would be our siberian husky Luna. She's 70 pounds and looks more like a wolf then a husky. She's got brown eye's not blue thankfully. And her markings are all white with some black. She's a wooly. Absolutely gorgeous

I once came out of a restaurant alone at a Lake Tahoe, Nevada resort only to be met by a large wolf emerging out of the darkness. The wolf and I stood 15 feet apart staring at each other. I had no idea how to respond it happened so fast. As the rest of my party emerged from the restaurant the wolf turned and went back into the shadows. It was magical and I still don’t really understand it.

Which season was your trip
@dandsclark2 ай бұрын
On this trip we were there in December 2019. We had heard that there was a drought and were hoping for some rain. But no such luck. It was not the same water wonderland that we had experienced on previous trips. We are going back to Botswana in September 2025 but we are staying in the north- Linyanti, where we hope there will be more wildlife even if the rains don't come this year. In any case, it is a magical place with great lodges and wonderful people. Hope you have a great trip.

But Slovenes have a history. My point is that many "foreign" rulers have been through what is now Slovenia and that is history and has shaped today's Slovenia. Just look at the architecture of Ljubljana.

I was over there over 10 years ago and I took the pony and cart, but I wanted to take the pony that they hired out but they were all hired by the time I finished my Irish coffee and stew at Lord Brandon’s cottage. Do they still hire ponies to ride through the gap?
@dandsclark7 ай бұрын
When we were there, our pony and cart ride had been reserved by our travel agent ahead of time as part of the tour. So our ride was waiting for us.
@enjoystraveling7 ай бұрын
@@dandsclark Thanks for your quick answer, when I was there, I was only one person, and I was added to the to group of the boat and so when I arrived at the cottage after my meal which I paid for, I could choose whether I wanted a horse and cart, hiking or a saddle horse to hire and I wanted to ride, but they’re all taken by the time I finished my second Irish coffee. :) It had been a very rainy cold day, but then it was sunny after I finished my Irish stew

Why the wolf keepers let asoo tourists in to the wolves and even the wolves seem like they already trust and are friendly to other people who are strangers for the wolves?
@dandsclark8 ай бұрын
The wolves are habituated to humans but there are a lot of rules because they are still wild animals. Only one small group gets to visit each day. The visit is timed so that it is not around their feeding time. Everyone has to wear the same black snow suit and no hats are allowed. There are specific places that you can touch the wolves. When the wolves approach, you have to be on your knees. You can't hold your hand above their heads.

10:57 The were not ‘fixated on death’. They loved life so much that they wanted to make sure they could access the after-death- life by means of proper burial.
@dandsclark9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I agree that the ancient Egyptians wanted to prolong their life experience by extending it into an afterlife. We owe much of our understanding of life in ancient Egypt to the burial industry that left tombs and pyramids with beautiful paintings and carvings.
