Not knowing much about AI I downloaded ChatGPT to my phone yesterday and found it very limited. I asked it to access the camera on my phone and read my facial expressions but it wouldn't. Asking it questions about when and how it will become self aware and try and wipe out the human race, would not give me the answer I wanted to hear, I'm very disappointed. Roll on skynet

Bad take. These programs are not intelligent they are algorithms that generate an expected result. They don't "know" anything. They perform a mathematical equation based on the weight of each word in the prompt to create a similar output to the data it was trained on. You can not assign an IQ to a non sentient program. This is people getting caught up in the hype of a novel text generator.
@ItsMrMetaverse
@ItsMrMetaverse Күн бұрын
Your take is based on the assumption we are not algorithms ourselves. Personally I've seen no proof, heard of no proof, and definitely cannot find any proof even in the works of great philosophers, to exclude that possibility. In fact I think it's highly likely we are. Human Expectionalist thinking is strongly ingrained, but it's not based. Your position is one of arrogance and superiority that has no foundation.

As someone who used to build and support Windows systems, I got tired of constantly dealing with viruses, reloading the OS, and other maintenance tasks. While I realize my iPhone isn’t exactly cutting edge, I appreciate that I don’t have to constantly fix things-it just works. I also value its privacy and security features.
@ItsMrMetaverse
@ItsMrMetaverse 21 күн бұрын
You're kidding yourself my friend, iPhone offers no security or privacy features other than the promise from Apple to not share your data with 3rd parties. they said nothing about what they're doing with it. Go and check these: Libman v. Apple (November 2022) - Filed in California regarding data collection despite disabled analytics Serrano v. Apple (January 2023) - Filed in Pennsylvania for wiretapping and electronic surveillance violations Cima v. Apple (January 2023) - Filed in Northern California regarding unauthorized data collection Morales Case (December 2022) - Filed in New York regarding Apple Watch health features and racial bias
@kjmorley
@kjmorley 19 күн бұрын
@@ItsMrMetaverse Privacy concerns are fair, but saying iPhone has “no security or privacy features” is a stretch. Apple has end-to-end encryption for things like iMessages and FaceTime, plus on-device processing for Siri, so the data doesn’t leave your device. And lawsuits-just because they’re filed doesn’t mean Apple is guilty. Legal claims happen to big tech all the time and often don’t go anywhere. Meanwhile, Apple’s doing more than most companies with transparency reports and privacy.

Hmmm. That is only if you think Kamala Harris and the current left is a good choice, but althought I absolutely despise Trump, personally I also see Harris and her ideologies as the biggger danger to civlisation right now. Supporting the current transgender/non-binary craze is extremely detrimental to the fabric of society, and further exacerbates the fragility of peace in the US and increases the polarisation. If birth rates drop any further the US will see accelerated population collapse as well. A generation will be traumatized and mutilated because of this. Regarding her foreign policy, she has expressed wishes to stop supporting Israel, the last vestigage of democracy and freedom in the Middle East, why? because of Hamas propaganda and mass hysteria of mostly Gen Z, who don't remember the twin towers and the fight on muslim terror we fought for decades. Anyone who reads the Hamas charter knows that we have to support Israel. I studied Islam for 6 years, I'm not saying this lightly. Gaza is a Proxy war of the Islamic fundamentalists against the west and specifically against Judaism. Any support for them equates to the direct undermning of westerm democracy and the USA itself, as it will embolden islamic terrorist organisations and their agents in the West to further undermine Western ideologies of Freedom, Democracy and Scientific pursuit over Religions fanatacism. So when confronted with a horrible choice, between a potential dictator, and a weak President who wants to invite the enemy into our house.... which is the right one?

@@ItsMrMetaverse I think if you evaluate what you have brought to the decision making tree process, you can see that there are things that only annoy you are more important to you than the things that change your human purpose / need known as Maslows hierarchy of human need pyramid. In this you truly find what has priority over annoying or irritating things. You have convinced yourself that someone else's LGBTQ situation has a life or death consequence. It does not. Please do not confuse this that a majority would agree that our society refuses to be forced to embrace such radical ideals of what Harris principals are, but I also think you are forgetting what truly is more important here. Most can agree trump is a lout. He brings out and encourages the wost in us, something our founders know well about. There's another word for a stable Democracy. It's peacefulness. Also fair and calm. With trump, it's exactly opposite. First and foremost we will all get loud chaoic disruption that I believe leads to such a shake up that we are forced into such a different type of government that also supports the elimination of things that only annoy you and now you're fully signed up to ally all of what you are behind this. Trump as supreme leader for life. No more voting....ever for representation. That's the fascist state trump has freely spoken that he will bring. He has put himself above the law. Are you really OK with this? Supreme ruler for life who is allowed to jail and execute whomever he likes? If that's what you want and firmly believe in, then you can expect 200 million Americans to take up arms against that as that is so so so far beyong just annoying. Beyong just being criminal. Are you willing to do the same for someone who identifies as something you don't like surgically changing gender? The laws must be forced to be made to keep who used to be Craig and now is Katie from competing in girls swim team and same locker room privileges. Everyone can agree this scenario is way past what is considered as normal, but if the reply is to support a leader who fully endorces and calls for executing their political rivals and/or anyone else they conjure up in their minds. With trump we get fascism. We get chaos unbridled. With Harris we must endure things we strongly disagree with, but can be changed by changing the laws of the land done peacefully and most importantly without so radically changing our system form of government that would only succeed in bringing out the worst in us. Think of all the blood and treasure lost sincs 1776. It would have BEEN LOST for nothing that some patience couldn't forever cure. So what's it gonna be? The pen?....or call to arms? It's coming down to your choice.

@@ItsMrMetaverse wanted to say I enjoy the debate. I DO respect your choice even if it leads to this American experiment forever ending. When I served in the USAF, I would have given my life for your right to vote and your freedom of speech.....even and especially if I do not agree with them. IF trump is elected....IF he executes or jails political opponents.....IF trump halts future elections.....IF this happens as trump has said he will do and you still support this? What do you really think will happen? That there will be kumb-ba-ya gatherings? You'd be smart to think again. I spent most of my adult life in Germany and learned for many of locals. Their parents and grandparents lost everything. They lost everything they valued. In 1939 they were a proud and dignified culture. Just 5 short years later the entire world acted against Germany to the extent those who survived lost material belongings and any remaining dignity. Have we as a so called educated civilization lost any lessons from history. Apparently we have. Best of luck to you.
