This seems strange to me. I’m not sure how this directs the viewers to be much occupied with Jesus as stated in your “who is sea harp” video. And some of the ideas of self affirmation seem potentially misaligned with our goal of being aligned with Christ. In my heart I don’t even want to start pursuing telling myself I’m amazing the way I am. Rather I want to be more like Christ and mediate on him. Just my two cents. Love to all.

Thank you for the remastered version. I hope it begin a new trend on YT, more clear 'simple' , no musical distraction of noise during the message. God Bless you. Loneliness, anger, hatred, dispair exactly where our country is today. Godless to despair.

Lewis said he wasn't interested in denying the theory of evolution as believed by practicing biologists.

He is attacking materialism in this talk. Elsewhere ( I wish I could remember where), he says if he had more time or a different vocation he would have liked to look more into biological evolution as he suspects it’s not as solid a theory as proposed.

Come on Lewis! A convenient argument. Some of the biggest monsters in history were Catholic bishops. Not to mention the protestant maniacs who were witch hunters! And, of course, no one expects the Spanish Inquistion! 😅

This is Chapter 4 "Letters To Malcolm: Chiefly On Prayer". Malcolm was a made up person for the purpose of the book. Almost anywhere I dip into the well of C S Lewis I find a refreshing drink. This book isn't one of his better known ones but it is still sweet to revisit. One of the best helps I have ever gotten about prayer is his essay "The Efficacy Of Prayer" which is the 1st essay in "The World's Last Night And Other Essays", it was the 7th in "Fern Seeds And Elephants."

Even though God knows what our sins are, we need to be specific about what we are asking forgiveness for, because in the case of repentance from sin, we need to honestly repent of those sins; and if we don't specifically say what we are asking forgiveness for, we might actually be not honestly facing up to those sins and actually repenting of them. In other words, we might be trying to hide them from God. But when we are completely honest about our sins, we can be confident that God will forgive them! If you aren't completely honest about your sin, then you likely are trying to deal with it in your own strength; and you can't get forgiveness that way. The only way you can get forgiveness is by Jesus dealing with your sin, that is, by His death on the cross.

Completely true. I have never followed any religion as they are constructs of man and therefore a fiction now that being said without raising too many eyebrows there are principles within each religion that can be admired and applied but to take religion too seriously can overshadow everything for the bible, the kran and any manual perse to the so called word of god can be interpreted many different ways as it is ambigious not definitive. I do not believe in nothing though but what i believe i dont have a reference too or a name just a feeling. I have always been fascintated by the universe, science, english and creativity, philosophy, and psychology and the human condition. And if you think about it we are energy therefore energy cannot be created nor destroyed simply transfered. The intricacies and design of life from the smallest grain to the vast skies suggest their is a creator for how can such order and intent be created without such intelligence or can it be that bleak and that we are simply in existence through hapstance? Stories can help motivate us inspire us but once we start arguing the points of what the word was intended for then only chaos will incur. 😊😊😊 basically take everything you learn with a little pinch of doubt, absorb it question it and come up with what feels right to you because in the end a creation has its own autonomy and even the creator will have no say on how it is delivered unto the world ❤

Perfect…this gives you a glimpse at what the Apostle Paul experienced. Lewis and Paul truly had Christ by their side, sitting along a river, running a race, and romping on a high plain. They equally invite us to sit, run and romp along with them, throughout eternity.

Screwtape letters by CS Lewis made me realise the danger that all Christians are facing and the power of an honest prayer . I did some animation for this book and if you do have a chance , check it out. I believe every Christian must at some point read this for their own self realisation.

Yes, it's to be expected of a social species that its members will have social instincts as well as instincts which enhance their own wellbeing. It's to be expected that a species which can reason will apply reason to the puzzle of how to sort out these instincts into codes of behavior. This is how we develop a moral sense of right and wrong. MORALITY IS SUBJECTIVE. That doesn't mean it's arbitrary. The subject is our species, and we can't choose which instincts drive us. We can only try to reconcile them and anticipate the consequences when they come into conflict. This account also explains why there's individual and cultural variation in morality despite a general consensus across the species. And it explains why other species exhibit moral behaviors which have some similarities and some differences from human behaviors.
