I’ll admit as a kid I just kind of thought they were riding off the coattails of mad max which seemed inescapable in the pop culture sphere for me so it didn’t have as much of an impact on me as other storyline focused episodes. Looking back as an adult I feel more neutral, I like the twist of Leo being the big bad this whole time and I think mutant apocalypse would be a great AU for the turtles to explore if it maybe leaned into doing its own thing or if it didn’t utterly devastate the world. Imagine it just goes from majority humans to majority mutants and all the former humans have to grapple with being a society of mutants. Hope you have a good day random human on the internet!

This isn't the canon ending, it's more like a "what if" where they lost the final non-80s battle.

To me this how I see the series Seasons 1-4 and the first 4 episodes of season 5 Canon And for the rest of season 5 either plot points the didn't make it and should've been in season 4 or "what if scenarios" like mutant apocalypse

Don't forget that there are two sets of Turtles after Splinter got stabbed by shredder the first time. One set went into space.

Supposedly Season 4 was going to be the finale but then Season 5 was approved. The death of Splinter & Shredder gave closure and finished the story. Season 5 has no real cohesion & was just a bunch of one-time stories. I prefer the Mutant Apocalypse ending though it is a downer

I loved this special, but DEFINITELY prefer it as an alternative ending. I prefer the main one with Bebob & Rocksteady. That one is more light hearted but still has edge.😃😄💚✊🏽💯✨

It was supposed to be, and I'm glad Nick said "No", this would be a horrible canon ending. It's pretty clear it's an alternate ending where they lost in the final battle.

Honestly, I consider neither of these arcs series finale. As the showrunner Ciro Nieli said season 5 can be put that way you can pick whatever ending you prefer. That's why I consider When Worlds Collide the true series finale: it wasn't dragged on like Monster arc, perfectly balanced action and plot, closed up everything regarding Utroms, Mona Lisa, Newtralizer and Lord Dregg and forever reunited Mona with Raph(it was also stated by creators that these two were planned to have a kid)

hello bro, what do you think about these last 3 episodes of tmnt 2012, for me it doesn't make much sense, because renè could warn the turtles of the mutagen bomb, being a time traveler. And what do you think about a season 6 of tmnt?

Well right there is one of the biggest problems of time travel. And I wouldn't want the show to get renewed, especially not 7 years later. The show had a good run with a good ending (no matter what you think the sires finally was) so I would like for Nickelodeon to just leave it alone. Though I wouldn't mind seeing these turtles come back for some sort of crossover event.

My theory it's the mutant apocalypse supposed to happened and eventually some humans manage to survive and rebuild civilization once more and they discovered the story of the turtles by meeting them or finding records in a dairy and they consider the turtles heros because they fought to save the earth and mankind and that's why they well known in the future. But that's is my theory.

Thank you for covering the Mutant Apocalypse! Despite how divisive this arc is, it is one of the best. It's sad, it's bitter, and I didn't like it when I was younger, but it had such an impact on me that I recently started watching the show again. The arc is unique - from the setting, to the villains, to hell: these are the only episodes where we don't see all the Turtles at once, the episodes where Raph is finally "the lead", and it even ends the way the series started - a Leo vs. Raph fight. When I was watching TMNT, the Russian Nickelodeon channel screwed up the order of Season 5, so we got to see the arc last. Thank God we got to see it last! As for the video, well done! I hope your channel gets a lot more attention, and I wish you growth and luck in your future endeavors!

I really did enjoyed part 2 of season 2, it really got into the more serious thing when they focused on the mission at hand. And I have a real good idea for this show. That they go to a dream realm where the whole place is underwater and they magically dream crafted themselves into mermaids. 🧜‍♀️ Wouldn’t that be great for them to have fish tales and the ability to breathe and swim underwater? I think it would be so awesome. Mermaids are my most favorite creatures of all the marine life, and mermaid transformation magic is one of my most favorites too.🏄‍♀️🪄✨🧜‍♀️😍🤩

Of all the realms we’ve seen so far if you had to guess which one Mateo x Zoey will happen in which do think is most likely? I’d probably say either the waking world or Castle Nocturnia

I just wanna talk about ending being Ninjago S12 finale done good! Neverwitch's backstory was very sad and honestly i like her more then like half of Ninjago villains she is just so good character! Hope we will see her again

I liked the 2nd part but I have to say it lacked the same essence as the other parts had mainly I’m referring to Mateo’s feelings for Zoey because they’ve basically teased it ever since the first episode kinda like with Dragon prince or avatar the last airbender it’s the main reason I’m watching the show (not the only one but the main one) and the circumstances just got even more interesting with Zoey’s dad’s reveal Season 1 part 1: Very good amount of those scenes I could easily sense the vibe Part 2: confirmed my suspicions (even did a little tease in the episode “the worthy dreamer”) Season 2 part 1: gave me scenes that suggested a bit of attraction falling on Zoey’s side But then when part 2 came they basically stopped it all the first 4 episodes with no scenes then they got me all hyped with the 15th considering they had both couples split up and they were going to the gnorfs which made me think history might repeat itself but then they just turned it around (gotta admit the conversation they had with Beau was really interesting before that happened I never saw him as 2 different people) I’m not saying I hate the show I love the show and I appreciate the fact they’re making it more similar to an anime style but at the same time when you have so many haters then the show could easily get canceled at any time

If season 1 is a 3/10 season 2 is a 6 or 5/10 it’s really not that better but the animation is definitely better thank goodness.

Honestly, I liked the first half of season 2, but part 2 really dropped the ball. I really liked Zoey's arc and her relationship with Beau, probably the best thing in this show. My biggest problems are the writing of the characters can be so stupid. 1. How come no one realized Dizzy wasn't Izzie? 2. When the Wildora arc started, it's what took me outta the season, that Beast Master guy was *SOOO* annoying! 3. I'm sorry, but I hated the Never Witch. Her backstory and motive are so forced. She never explains why she hates change, oh what, because her fallout with her sister? That was one scene and they genuinely think that's what gives her depth. She became cartoonishly evil. So far, Dreamzzz has been weak, but I'm not giving up on the show.
