Why Cinder is one of the most disappointing characters in all of Dragons Rising.

why does it even matter? not every villain needs a backstory or something special. hes just a cool villain who got recruited by ras, who cares how.

Right and we can still get his backstory at a later date not everything has to be done all at once

I feel like that should be narrowed down to the fact that the writers want everything to be long term storytelling. And yeah, I want to learn more about him too. How did he get his powers? Does he have a tragic past?

For characters like Jay and Ras I can agree with this but with Cinder in the 20 episodes we've known this character for we never even got a hint to his past. I wouldn't have made this video if the writers had been teasing Cinder's backstory throughout season 2, like what they've been doing with Ras.

I didn’t really think about this until this. I totally agree! He’s really enjoyable to watch and stuff but yeah we don’t know anything about his past or anything!

I agree with what you said he was so disappointing especially in part 2 and when the whole wyldfyre grt a bf thing was leaked I thought it was going to be cinder, so we can learn more about him (I'm also tired of character being introduced to be loved interest without any backstory like roby, skylor, vania and pixal) but he's in jail now i don't think we'll see him again

I think that there should have been some hint to backstory with cinder how he got his powers and maybe he idolized the forbidden five like how some people idolized the ninja because of their strength and maybe where cinder came from he was bullied because they aren’t around anymore and then he learned about ras and he unlocked his smoke power with help from him and how they shared similar interests with the forbidden five so ras taught him shatterspin to get him stronger and maybe he went to darkleys before he got smoke powers because he idolized villains and he got bullied there because he never had bad intentions and maybe in the finale Sora tried sympathizing with him because of their similar pasts but cinder’s soul was shattered too far and he almost kills Sora only for Sora to win and put him in a cage.

Our most anticipated characters and seasons tend to be so MEH (the oni, crystalized, just to name a few, and now Cinder) Also, excluding the huge leak, I don’t think some people wanted part 2 to be released or anything like that due to its tone for one reason. Not sure how to explain what i mean exactly. Whether it leaked or didn’t, there are definitely people behind the scenes who didn’t want this to be in the show

random villain, not even part of the forbidden five. I think he's fine. Served his purpose and even slightly more, I think you just were hyped about the first villain to use shatterspin, But really the focus was always going to be ras and the forbidden five. It's like for example ultra violet, am I sad her character didn't get explored? Not really, I knew from the start she wasn't the focus of the season. I think you just were hyped about a character you think is cool and wanted him to be expanded more. (Also being real, JAY being this sidelined is much more surpsring, so far he's the only character that actually SHOULD have some development that has been fully neglected thus far). Btw theres absolutely NOTHING wrong with wanting his character to be explored at least a little bit, but I just think you had a little bit too much of high expectations for him.

I was never expecting Cinder to get a ton of focus, Ras and the Forbidden 5 are definitely the main focus of the season. But all I'm asking for is one line telling us either where Cinder is from and/or why he's helping Ras.

how tf is rapton and DORAMA better than cinder💀💀and out of all the main missed potential in part 2, COUGH EVIL JAY, cinder's the problem in that season? WHAT. Cinder was perfect for his role in that season, he upped the spice levels with his trash talk and had some of the best fight scenes in the tournament, he was entertaining and did his job. His whole spill is bein this cold side villain that can kick ass at any moment and look cool while doing it. Not knowing much about him is what also makes him cool, mystery sometimes adds a cool factor. And DR has been extremely slow wit their story telling, apparently it's ok for the show to make us wait for 3 seasons to get jay fleshed out for DR (who knows might take even longer) and get over 5 minutes of screentime, but cinder, a side character, not having their full backstory dropped in his first season is the big problem, the big missed potential?

I didn't say that I like Rapton and Dorama more than Cinder (because I don't) but we just know more about them than we do Cinder. And I do love all of Cinder's scenes. My problem is that we never even get a single hint towards his backstory. I'm fine with the show dragging out characters like Jay because they've been teasing his story since episode 17. But with Cinder we have no idea whether or not the show is going to tell us more about him, I wouldn't have made this video if we got some kind of hint that his story was going to be explored in future seasons, but we didn't and that's what I have a problem with. Edit: I guess I did say that Cinder is the worst D.R. villain, but what I meant by that is that Cinder is the worst in terms of motivation and character depth. In terms of personality and entertainment Cinder is one of the best.

Idk I think Cinder is simply meant to basically be an evil Kai, and he isnt supposed to have such a focused character, simply a cool side vilain that does his job, plus every time I saw him on screen I enjoyed it, in the tournament he kept that fire between the ninja and Ras

Yes, but he's the only D.R. villain so far who we don't know anything about. I'm not asking for his life story, just a single line telling us where Ras found him would be enough. I loved what we got of Cinder but I'm disappointed by what we didn't get.
