What a tough day I had yesterday. I was hoping it would make up for the bad day I had on Wednesday, but it was so stressful instead. How are _you_ doing today, though? I'm guessing you plan on streaming Sunday, because if you'd like me to talk a little more about my weekly experience, I'll share it during the chat whilst listening to your heart through the pillow speaker. That way, I won't have to be rolled over to type.

I recently started running again after a couple years. I forgot how much I love feeling my heart pound and try to beat out of my chest. I need to look into getting a stemoscope or something similar so I could listen to my heart during a run. Your heart sounds so beautiful even when it’s beating fast

I got to spend Sunday and yesterday getting out of my comfort zone. I got to visit two different museums during my four-day weekend, and I had a great time! you are getting ready for bed when I come into your room. - Do you mind if I listen to your heart?- I ask - Not at all,- you answer, unbuttoning your shirt My palm gently rests on your chest and I touch your pulsating peak with my fingertips. Then I listen to your heart, laying you on your side. - Now breathe deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth,- I say quietly, placing the membrane on your lungs. Your stomach rumbles when I finish listening I lubricate my hands with cream and wait for you to lie comfortably on your back so I can start palpating your stomach. In twenty minutes I finish and we have a snack with you on buns with kefir. - Tomorrow morning I will do an echocardiogram on you, don’t drink coffee in the morning,- I warn - Okay, thanks for the warning,- you say To be continued.❤

You wake up in a rather strange place, unsure of just how you got here or what is about to happen. You look around, and you see an age-old interior covered in cobwebs and dust. As you climb out of the bed, you hear a loud squeaking of the bed springs. “Where am I?” you ask, scared. As you try to walk out of the bedroom to open the door, stethoscope in hand, you hear a creak for every step you take. You hesitate after the first step but continue to walk on tip toes, resisting the urge to make a peep. “W…what is this?” you softly ask, having set foot in the hallway. You hear eerie noises ranging from ghosts moaning to light fixtures arcing to various creaks that are enough to make your heart beat faster. You take about a minute to listen to your panicked heart, and then say to yourself “Yep, I really am scared.” You tiptoe down the stairs and hear a sound so familiar to you; it is the heart of an undead being, pounding in the distance. You take off your stethoscope, thinking it was your heartbeat, but proceed to walk further down. Your hands begin to shake as you complete your way to the first floor. - “Come here,” a distant voice says. - “Who said that?!” you gasp. - “Me!” - “Who are you?” No reply. You slowly walk over to the other room to see who is uttering those creepy words. You feel your heart pounding as you go further. The person in question has suddenly vanished. “Where are you?” you ask. No reply again. You anxiously look over your shoulders and see no sign of the person. You then step further into the room and lightning flashes in the windows. “Where are you? Answer me!” “I’m behind you!” the voice replies. You turn around to find a silhouette, slowly heading towards you, and with every step they take, your heart rate increases. With a shaky hand, you decide to take your pulse at the neck. You can’t help but sink down to the floor, hands out in front of you so to keep the silhouette out of your vision. Their eyes pierce right through your cover as they come even closer. Panicked thoughts race inside your head: _What is going on here? Where am I at this moment? Will I make it out alive? Who is this person and why are they coming at me? Are they going to strike me down?_ “I see you!” the voice says and laughs maniacally. You try to keep quiet, but the silhouette can only hear you uttering these words: “No, don’t hurt me! Please! Please, I beg you! Stay away from me!” Tears begin to form in your eyes as the dark spirit finally approaches you. You let out a blood-curdling scream and then run down the hall, but it’s not enough to prevent the spirit from catching you. Luckily, you find a safe space to hide. Well, you may be safe, but not for long. A second being-a demon-comes into your field of vision, letting out a low laugh. A deep voice utters the words “Allow me to seize your heart.” You feel shaky again as another whirlwind of panic starts to swallow you up. The demon laughs again and says “There’s no escaping me!” You let out another scream! You run again to keep the demon out of sight, but alas! You trip and fall just in the midst of hastening your pace. Oh, no. There’s a third being! It’s got a sword and a threatening smile, and a majority of its face is covered by its long, dark hair. Your nerves have reached their peak and one final thought forms in your head: “I can’t take it anymore!” The being raises its hand holding the blade, and after about five to ten seconds, it throws down the blade and- [Play the sound of a flashbang] Cut to your own bedroom. You wake up with a scream! Thank God you’re still alive, having woken up on your own bed, but it’s soaked with your sweat. Your heart rate has made the most violent jump you’ve ever felt. You think you’re alone again, but there I am, having suddenly opened my eyes, moaning these words: “Ugh, why did I offer to seize his heart?” Then you hear two other voices from across the hall, saying: - “How could I have been in two places at once?” - “Ugh, my hair obstructed the rest of my vision!” Breathing heavily, you turn your head to face me, saying to yourself, “Two voices in my head.” “Two voices in _your_ head?” I ask. “You had another nightmare, didn’t you?” “I did,” you reply. “Three beings coming right after me, one of which wanted to seize my heart.” “Oh, [y/n]…” I say, remorsefully, climbing out of the guest bed to give you a hug. The other two house guests come in, wanting to comfort you. “You can come in,” I tell them. “You can listen to his heart as we calm him down,” one says. “Yeah, as a matter of fact, I will,” I reply. As I put the stethoscope on, you take a few deep breaths, so to calm your nerves and slow your heart rate down. I listen away to those thumps and yawn in response. “I might as well go back to sleep,” I comment. “Yeah, me too,” you reply. As the house guests finish with their act of comfort, they tuck you back into bed so you can have sweeter dreams. You proceed to put your Stemoscope on your chest and fall asleep to the sound of your heart beating. I do the same thing as I climb back into my bed. “Good night, [y/n],” I say, and the house guests echo back. “Good night,” you reply. As you continue to listen to your heartbeat, you instantly fall into a deep sleep and everything is peaceful once again. [Thanks for reading] *Author’s note:* Great idea with the spooky season topic! I had to go with the haunted house setting because of this. God, I was overworked and overwhelmed yesterday! I just couldn’t take the workload anymore, and my mental instability was really showing when I tried to catch up on my homework. I might as well use the stream to relax again after a hard day. I look forward to hearing Wednesday’s file; take care! ❤️

We start our Drydock workout by walking over to the drydock mats. Obviously, we have our sneakers back on due to most gyms having a rule against bare feet. Mainly, you’d have to keep your shoes on for hygiene purposes, but the gyms also ensure protection from cuts and scrapes and the like. We’ll be on mats anyway, so it's nothing to worry about. - “Okay, David, where do we start?” you ask. - “We’ll start by doing some squats,” I reply, “but I might need a refresher on the position I have to be in.” - “How come?” - “What I remember is that my knees must not go past the point where my toes are.” - “Can I give you a hand?” - “Sure.” - “Are your feet shoulder width apart?” - “Yes; now what?” - “Is your back straight?” I notice I’m bending down too low. I then straighten my back as you watch. - “Oof! It is now.” - “Good. Make sure your shoulders are back.” - “Got it.” - “Shall we do this together?” - “Sure! Let’s go!” We do 35 squats in total while holding hands, but at a slower pace to ensure I don’t hurt myself doing it. Down, breathe in, up, breathe out. After 35 repetitions, I put on my stethoscope again to listen to the thudding of your apex. - “Whoa, listen to that!” I exclaim. - “I think yours… might be that audible too!” you reply. - “Really?” - “Yeah, we… really got our hearts going, I’ll bet.” - “Yeah, we did. Continue to breathe for another minute.” I place the chestpiece on your back so I can listen to your lungs from behind. You continue to breathe deeply, and I detect clear lungs. Using my phone, I then switch listening mode from wide to pulmonary. Again, your lungs sound nice and clear. Your voice then comes through my steth: “Can I do a downward dog while you listen? I have my harness.” “Sure!” I reply, “I’ll bend over a bit so I can hold you in place.” You put the harness on so I can hear your lungs again, and this time, I switch back to the Wide listening mode so I can hear how your heart reacts to your downward dog pose. “Ugh, I don’t know if I can hold that pose any longer,” you groan. “It’s all right,” I reply. Ouch! The earpieces get yanked out of my ears as you stand back up. “Oops, sorry!” you exclaim. “Gotcha!” I shout, grabbing them in the nick of time. “Okay, now I feel like doing a butterfly pose, but you might need to help me put my legs in the correct position.” “Sure.” You take the harness off and hand me back my stethoscope. I sit on the mat with my legs bent and my feet touching each other, but I find that I need a little adjustment as my legs shouldn’t be in diamond shape. - “Are your legs bent enough?” you ask me. - “No, they don’t look like it,” I reply. - “Here, let me adjust them.” - “Gently, please.” - “Now, make sure your hands are touching your ankles.” - “They are.” - “And keep your back straight, please.” I straighten my back once again. - “Okay, I got it.” I say. - “Here. Let me hold your legs in place,” you reply. “I know it feels difficult.” - “Okay.” I hold the pose for a few minutes whilst breathing deeply. With your stethoscope on, you listen to my lungs from behind as I breathe. “Continue to breathe deeply, please” you request, and I do just that. Just like yours, my lungs sound nice and clear. - “Ooh, nice lung sounds!” you comment. You then notice that I feel just a tiny bit shaky. - “Thanks,” I reply. - “Was your heart pounding a bit?” you ask me. - “Kind of. I just feel a little uneasy trying to maintain this pose.” - “Try and breathe deeply again, and we’ll switch places.” I do just that for one more minute, and we proceed to switch positions. - “All right,” you say. “I just need to be properly adjusted.” - “Sure thing,” I reply. - “Knees bent properly?” - “Check.” - “Feet touching each other?” - “Check.” - “Hands holding both feet?” - “Check.” - “Back straight?” - “Check.” - “Okay. I, too, am feeling a little uneasy.” - “It’s all right. Just breathe deeply, and I’ll listen to your heart and lungs again.” You obediently take several deep breaths while I hold you in place. I take a listen to your lungs as you breathe while in the butterfly position, as well as your heartbeat, subtly changing in rate. This time, the chestpiece is placed just an inch left of your apical impulse. Then, we decide to do some wall sits, another way to get our hearts going. “I’ll be on your right side as we do this, okay?” you say. “All right,” I affirm. “We might as well put the harnesses on, too.” “Yeah, we gotta keep our arms still.” We strap each other’s stethoscopes on and listen to each other’s hearts beating as we maintain a seated position for a minute. We do three sets and take a rest for about 10 to 20 seconds by moving our backs up into a wall-leaning position. I listen to your fast heartbeat as we keep our position, and the rate reads 129. A few groans of pain are let out by each of us randomly, since wall sits are, in fact, an uncomfortable activity as far as we are concerned. “I think this is going to affect me for about a week or so,” I groan. “Ah, you’ll be all right,” you reply. “You’re doing great.” We go into rest position, and I hear your heartbeat decreasing rate slightly. After three sets of wall sits, we proceed to do abdominal workouts. “Can you hand me the medicine ball real quick?” you ask me. “Sure,” I reply, and I do just that. You decide to do 35 Russian Twist repetitions on each side, and during rest position, I listen to your heart and lungs again. You breathe deeply, medicine ball still in your hands. Then, after 35 more, you feel a little uneasy again. “I think it’s your turn now,” you moan, exhausted. I proceed with 30 ab bicycle repetitions. You then listen to my breathing, and it’s quite heavy. “I know,” you affirm. “It’s not easy, is it?” “No,” I reply. After about 20 more seconds of rest, I proceed to do 30 more anyway. “I can’t take it anymore,” I groan. “Hey,” you inquire. “There’s massage chairs in the other room; can we use those?” “Yes,” I reply. “I feel like I could use a massage, don’t you?” “Absolutely.” Having put our sneakers back on, we head over to the massage chairs. To become more comfortable, we decide to take off our sneakers once more. We take a moment to relax and listen to our hearts beating as they gradually slow down in rate. Our voices come through each other’s stethoscopes: - “Hey, David,” you remark, “you did a wonderful job.” - “Thanks, [y/n],” I reply. “So did you.” - _“Danke schön!”_ - “We’ll take some time to relax, and then we’ll head out.” - “Absolutely.” The massage chairs aim for our pressure points and the muscles affected by our workouts. - “Ohh, that feels good!” I groan. - “I agree. I kind of need this.” - “Yeah. I’ll probably fall asleep without knowing.” - “I might, too.” We continue with our relaxation period, and I am instantly lulled into a state of slumber by the thudding of your heartbeat. I guess I was right when I said I’d fall asleep without knowing. _Zzzzz…_ [The end] *Author’s note:* Oh, that reminds me. Have you ever done yoga? I certainly have, and I did it when I was in a high school sport (I was on a swim team). If I should get back into such exercises, I might need someone to give me a refresher because I might need to improve on my flexibility. I’m sorry for completing this too late; it was because I was focusing on another fiction I was writing for my creative writing class. I look forward to hearing tomorrow’s file! Take care! ❤️

What a wonderful fiction! I really love it. Thank you again so much for writing it. But please never feel obligated to write or continue a fiction. If you have to focus on other things in your life. :) To answer your question. Nope, I never did yoga. I just never got into it. But I think I would definitely give it a try if someone did it with me.Take care!❤

You wake up from your dream with a few words: _“Mmm, Ich wünschte, sie könnten sich diese Pumpe noch einmal anhören.”_ You slowly open your eyes to find me on the guest bed as I check my phone first thing. I turn my head to face you. - “Ah, David! _Guten Morgen!”_ - “Good morning, [y/n]!” - “You look like you slept okay. Is that true?” - “Yes, I did. How about you?” - “I did, too. I had a dream about people listening to my heart beating and believe it or not, you were one of them.” - “Was I?” - “And I saw a few sporty guys with chiseled bodies, too.” - “Whoa! I’m sure they had great hearts to listen to.” - “But the one thing that I feel needs to be listened to right now is my stomach.” - “Really? Mine’s making some noise as well.” We climb out of our beds, but-oops! I don’t seem to have anythi- hold on a sec. “Ah, I shouldn’t have looked!” you exclaim. There! That should do it. I put on my pajama pants, and we listen to the rumbling of each other’s stomachs. “Shall we hit the gym after breakfast?” I ask. “Sure,” you reply, “but we’d have to wait for about an hour for our food to digest.” ----- We’ve had our breakfast already, and so we set off on our drive to the gym. I decide to play _We Didn’t Start the Fire_ by Billy Joel. “Ooh, that’s a wild song to listen to!” you comment. “I agree.” I reply. ♪ _Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray, South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio._ ♫ ♪ _Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, Television, North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe._ ♫ Then, when the song hits the chorus for the second time, we arrive, but I get a little too carried away by the song, pretending to hold a mic and lip syncing: ♪ _We didn’t start the fire / It was always burning since the world’s been turning_ ♫ ♪ _We didn’t start the-_ ♫ “David, we’re here!” you interrupt. “Oh, sorry. Got a little too carried away.” I reply. We start by doing some dumbbell lifting: 35 repetitions for each arm. You start with your left, then switch to the right, but just in the middle of the left arm repetitions, you already feel your heart pounding. I continue on with mine, so to prevent myself from making any comments about your visible heartbeat; otherwise, I’d be distracting you to the point where you accidentally drop the dumbbell. Ouch! Then, when we finish, I put my stethoscope on and listen to that pounding pump. Already out of breath, you try to say “That was… pretty… awesome!” “I know, right?” I reply, also panting. I watch as the chestpiece bounces on your protruding apical impulse. “What do you say we try the exercise bikes?” you ask. “Sure thing!” We head over to the exercise bikes and get ready for some interval exercises, but not before we drink some water to ensure that our throats aren’t dry at the end. - “You ready, [y/n]?” I ask. - “Ready,” you reply. - “Let’s go!” - “Race you!” you shout, jokingly. - “No, wait for me!” I reply with a laugh. We pedal as fast as we can until we feel the burn in our leg muscles, especially the hamstrings. You watch as your heart rate increases as you hold the sensors, and your hands get more sweaty over time, but you don’t lose the grip. 157 and climbing… We listen to the music playing at the gym, but uh-oh… guess what? To my surprise, the same song we heard on the way to the gym begins to play, but this time, it’s Fall Out Boy’s version from 2023! ♪ _Captain Planet, Arab Spring, L.A. Riots, Rodney King, deepfakes, earthquakes, Iceland Volcano_ ♫ ♪ _Oklahoma City Bomb, Kurt Cobain, Pokémon, Tiger Woods, MySpace, Monsanto GMOs_ ♫ “Are they reading my mind?” I ask myself. Then, at the end of the routine, I put my stethoscope back on and pay attention to the ECG curves. The chestpiece is on your apical impulse again, and I notice that the R waves are quite high. I listen to your lungs simultaneously while they are clear of any mucus and the like. - “Wow, you really… gave it your… best effort!” I remark, panting again. - “So… did you!” you reply. - “Take your time… to recover… and we’ll do… some more repetitions.” - “All right.” - “Continue to breathe, please…” You take some deep breaths through your mouth as I continue to listen to your heart and lungs. I watch as your heart rate decreases with each minute that passes. 162, 158, 153, and so on… It doesn’t seem to go down significantly. “Try the 4-7-8 breathing method, please. I’ll follow along” I say. You obediently inhale for four seconds, hold it for seven-you get the idea. I try to synchronize my breathing to yours by doing the same method. Then we find our heart rates have gone somewhere in the 60s to 80s range. - “I don’t know about you,” I remark, “but I think my feet are hurting right now.” - “Mine too,” you reply. “We can take our sneakers off for the time being.” - “All right. Then, we’ll see if we can do some Drydock.” - “What’s Drydock?” - “A series of training exercises that include yoga, crossfit type workouts, and stuff like that. I remember doing that before swim practice when I was in high school.” - “I’d be open to that!” - “All righty then! But we gotta stretch those barking dogs of ours.” You laugh in reply, and we proceed to stretch our sore, er… grippers. Ugh, that feeling is pretty common when I wear my favorite gator boots for heaven’s sake! [To be continued] *Author’s note:* Happy World Heart Day! Let me ask you a few workout/exercise-related questions: - Do your feet hurt after a run? I kind of think a lot of athletes have that sensation after a marathon. - Do you plan on working out come October? I know from experience it’s a good way to get your body heat up, especially when the temperature outside is expected to decrease. - When you’re at work, do you do certain things like torso twists? I know some people like to do that when idle. 😂 Oh, and I would definitely like you to try and record your heart while you’re out on a walk. You can go at any pace you like. Be sure to take care of yourself and your heart on a day like this! Fist bump! 👊

Hey, (maybe a bit late but) Happy World Heart Day! I noticed it a bit after the stream. Anyways thank you again for writing an awesome fiction. I enjoyed it as always. Now to your questions: - No, my feet usually don’t hurt much after a run. I got very good shoes that give very good support. But I can definitely feel my muscles afterward that's for sure :D - Yes I do plan on working out in October. -It depends. If I feel like some part of my body needs a stretch or something I usually stretch that part immediately. I also try to walk around while I am on the phone with someone (my headset is wireless). I also want to record my heart while I’m out on a walk. I finally need to get around and test it… Anyways take care 👊

Doki! 👏Thank you, I always enjoy your live Sunday morning stream of Sunday Thumps when you're able to do it. You have become my Sunday morning ritual when I'm getting ready for work. The pc external speakers are turned all the way up to hear your heartbeat, breathing and other body function sounds as you're requested to share them. The sounds are always so clear, and I like the way you silence the sound when you move from one heart valve or location to another. I've also noticed that when you do a breath hold, we can hear your heartbeat really strong. Some people, when they take a deep breath and hold it you, can barely hear their heartbeat. I'm not sure the reason for that. Love the deep breaths, the fast 135 bpm heartbeat at 37: 00 and the extra strong powerful beats at 1:35. Literally sounds like a bass drum. Thank you for sharing by streaming your strong, powerful heart. Steve ♥🩺♥🩺❤
