This song and That's The Way The World Goes Round defined the years immediately after high-school for me. Anyone over 30 knows exactly what I mean when I say if I could tell myself then what I know now... it's only been 13 years... I saw John Prine 10 minutes down the road from my house at Nelsonville Music Festival years ago listening now brings me rich emotions. RIP John Prine.

John was a great drummer, and would have stayed the course if it wasn't for his illness, but Rush would not have been the success they are now without Neil, not just for his drumming but his songwriting, even though John Rutsey did write Working Man and most of the first album :) Never forget him if you are a true Rush fan

This is great music! Chris was better with the stealdrivers... That's all I'm saying! Respect to Chris and the stealdrivers without him but I definitely miss these days! A Vietnam vet turned me on to this music! I miss my friend and this music!

All religions are not the same . Reject the Crucified Risen Messiah at your peril 😢 John 3:16-18 HCSB “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God. ❤️✝️🙏

If you need some advice in being lonely If you need a little help in feelin' blue If you need some advice on how to cry all night Come to me I'm the man with the blues I'm the man with a hundred thousand heart aches (a good selection all in blue) And I've got most any color of the blues So if you need a little shove in foulin' up in love Come to me I'm the man with the blues You have a trusting man you can depend on He tells you you're the one he dearly loves Your not content to be his wife you long for the restless life Come to me I'm the man with the blues

Come all you young fellers, so young and so fine And seek not your fortunes way down in the mine It will form like a habit and seep in your soul 'Til the stream of your blood flows as black as the coal It's dark as a dungeon and damp as the dew Where the dangers are double and the pleasures are few Where the rain never falls and the sun never shines It's dark as a dungeon way down in the mines There is many a man I have seen in my day Who lived just to labor his whole life away Like the fiend with his dope and the drunkard his wine A man will have lust for the lure of the mine It's dark as a dungeon and damp as the dew Where the dangers are double and the pleasures are few Where the rain never falls and the sun never shines It's dark as a dungeon way down in the mines I hope when I'm dead and the ages shall roll That my body will blacken and turn into coal I will look from the door of my heavenly home And pity the miner a' diggin' my bones It's dark as a dungeon and damp as the dew Where the dangers are double and the pleasures are few Where the rain never falls and the sun never shines It's dark as a dungeon way down in the mines [2x]

I remember learning this song in elementary school about 60 years ago and have thought about it from time to time over the years. What a surprise to hear Robert Plant singing it all these years later (a pleasant surprise I might add).

Casey Jones he was a mighty man But now he's resting in the promised land The kind of music he could understand Was an eight wheel driver under his command He made the freight train boogie All the time He made the freight train boogie As he rolled down the line When the fireman started ringing the bell Everybody hung around to tell Casey Jones was a coming to town, on a six Eight wheeler that was flat on the ground He made the freight train boogie All the time He made the freight train boogie As he rolled down the line

I'm drinking champagne feeling no pain till early morning Dining and dancing with every pretty girl I can find And I'm having a fling with a pretty young thing till early morning Knowing tomorrow I'll wake up with you on my mind Guilty conscience I guess though I must confess I never loved you much when you were mine So I'll keep drinking champagne... Guilty conscience I guess... So I'll keep drinking champagne... Knowing tomorrow I'll wake up with you on my mind

How do you capture decades of old school style, wrap it up and present it in modern times, and find the best voice and tight band to deliver perfection? Nobody but Sierra Ferrell could do this !👍👍🇺🇸
