Congratulations on being a dealer bruh! 👍🏾 I've always chosen sound quality over SPL. I guess because growing up in the 80s and 90s alot of the music wasn't boosted with bass like how it is now. The bass is there but just not as heavy as today's music. So, us old schoolers were always trying to find that balance of bringing out the bass in the music while still maintaining good sound. Don't get me wrong, a good SPL system is still cool as hell. But I don't think it's something I would want for a daily either. Wishing you well wishes on your future projects and career. Damn I wish I lived near you. 😆😆

You are right about finding a balance! I thought I would never move away from SPL 😂. I found myself not being able to play regular music if it wasn’t re-bassed or slowed because I was tuned so low. I had to change my ports for regular music. Now I’m changing my subs. Next thing you know i won’t have an SPL build at all.

@SubwooferKing100 😆😆😆...ain't nothing wrong with that bruh. It could be just one of those phases you're going thru. You might hear something one day that'll make you do SPL again. LOL! I don't wanna keep sounding old...LOL! But back in the day; da' 90s; there was a DJ I think from ATL if I remember correctly, his name is DJ Jelly and there was another DJ that would re-bass alot of the old school R&B tracks. They wouldn't change anything about the original lyrics other than add more bass to the songs of course with their own twist but it would sound so good. I never could get into the chopped and screwed stuff. I wish I knew the other DJ's name because I'm certain there was 2 and both were from the ATL. If you can find it, look up DJ Jelly and MC Assault I think. Look up there re-bass version of The Secret Garden by Barry White. That should sound real good on those 18s. I have it on CD around here somewhere. So, make sure you hear it from a good source. If you like the old school R&B stuff already,that song is gonna make you look for some more of that stuff LOL!

I knew you would go back to the Evl’s over the Zvx’s because the sound quality is definitely better very accurate not even close. Zvx just louder and hit harder more spl but eventually you gonna want sql in a daily driver

You are 100% right about your statement lol. The SPL driver was cool but eventually I wanted to go back to sound quality in the daily. I don’t know if it’s a sign that I’m getting old or what 😂

@@DCBDesigns I already had a box for 2 18s. And cone area is king. If I did 2 RS Platinum 18s it would be louder. But I got the EVL for sound quality and less weight. Getting the Platinum 18s would defeat the purpose. If I ever upgrade these, I’m getting subs that have a light neo magnet and good sound quality at the same time

Yeah the evls will get a lot lower as well. Its just a different experience. SPL monster or music quality king

You are right about that! That’s why I went back to these. Even though I blew my first EVLs I missed that sound quality. They still get really loud because of the setup I have, so it doesn’t slack to much in the SPL department. Just a little drop off in SPL😅

@@SubwooferKing100 I can imagine! I only one (1) ZVX-15 but I had it in a Corolla on a Sundown SFB. The videos on my channel show some pretty damn good flex all things considered (stock electrical minus secondary battery)

Heard of SQL subs? They play lower and cleaner than SPL subs but, still get really loud. My preference is 89 to 92 dB efficient 80 to 150 watt sound quality speakers and subs that play very loud but clean and low. Fi Car audio makes pretty awesome SQL subwoofers. There are no pure SPL subs available for Fi Car Audio it's either SQ, SQL, SQXL(sound quality extra loud), or SQXXL. There are SQ speakers that can cut through quite a lot of bass. I love my Sony Mobile ES speakers, they are very musical and can easily reproduce microdetails in music but, are not harsh on my ears even on max volume. They can definitely keep up with 7000 watts RMS of very loud but bass. I have 1 1750w fi neo 12 and it has clean loud bass. If I did it all over again I'd do 2 Fi Neo 12s, have the amps be installed more professionally, I'd still go with Sony Mobile ES speakers but, go with 3-way instead of 2-way components in the front for better clarity in the midrange, and splurge on some US amps. Maybe do Custom pods for better sound stage.

I have 2 Sundown sa v2 12's in a ported box with a DC audio 3,500k amp. They are not moving like that and they flex my Kia Optima ! The bass is Low and clean asf!

That box looks to small. Your box needs to be about 10-12 cu. Ft to allow for speaker and port displacement . I would flip the box up and invert your woofers so it would give them a little more airspace and if your port towards the back you would probably get a lot more out of them.

I just got me 2 pairs of 6.5 skar speakers I was going to get 4 but 1 won pair got sold and I got the same super tweeters to in a week or so I should have them in my 1999 SLT dodge Durango V8 magnum but for my back doors I'm going to use some old pair of boss 6.5 speakers there pretty good for now calling from Surrey bc Canada
