The new ones sound a bit louder in the upper frequencies. At least that how it sounds on my phone. Talk about old home receivers...dude I have a Pioneer SX-950 with a pair of HPM100s 😁. That thing is still pretty stout. I can only imagine how stout the SX-1980 is.

Those Pioneer home receivers was the go to back in the day! I was big into home audio before I was able to drive. Those things are collectibles now! Hold on to those Pioneer receivers!

I got bof of em in my truck, I bought the neo one because it was going to be cheaper then having to buy a spacer and before that I had a Polk one since 2015 that I accidentally burnt out lol

Planning on getting 4 neos as well but very confused on what ohms to get them at and how to wire them. My goal is 2ohm final load. I have a skar skv2 200.4 amp. I also am planning on getting 2 super tweeters

Run the tweeters on channels 1 and 2 Run mids on 3 and 4. 2 4 ohm per channel for 2 ohm load. The skv2 200.4 is Korean and will play the 2 ohm per channel no problem

As far as loudness and quality would you take the spx65c or the fsx 6.5 with a super tweeter? I'm guessing you would get much louder with the fsx and super tweet but lower with the spx65 probably... overall I imagine as long as they are playing within their range quality would be about the same right?
