You did a good job. Thanks for actually showing your mistakes and NOT trying to act like your perfect. I love the dress at the end. This video was very inspiring. Got a couple things I've been putting off upcycling, but you just gave me the boost I needed to jump into it headfirst and quit procrastinating just because I'm scared I'll screw them up. Thank you for that. 😁

I really disliked shoulder pads. I'm broad-shouldered anyway, and shoulder pads made me look like a fullback.,

The dress turned out great. Keep up the up cycling . I do not call it hoarding. I am a curator of fine and not so fine fabrics, trims, paper and what ever else I have squealed away . The best to you.

One of my first upcycles was a deep red satin blouse that I bought for $3 at a thrift store in Coos Bay, Oregon. I wanted a nice blouse to wear to work in an office, and this blouse fit perfectly, and it was ideal except that the buttons on the blouse were awful - they were old and most of the paint on them had flaked off, so I got some gold buttons out of my button stash and replaced the buttons on the blouse. The difference was amazing. P.S. I wish I looked 45 years old, as I'm 65.

Is there any way you can show how to make things larger? That's my usual problem - I've bought things that are supposed to be my size, and they aren't, and I like them too much to get rid of them.

I would take your patchwork Easter skirt and make 3 separate table runners, one with each tier. Great video! Thank you!

I was sewing away and broke the machine needle, and the point popped up and hit my left glasses lens. I was so glad I had to wear glasses in order to see what I was doing at that moment.

I was thinking...just make a Christmas craft from the moth eaten red sweater....but when u put it on with the sweet hand done flowers I thought it looked like something the "heroine" in a Hallmark movie would wear at the vineyard in Autumn when she meets the love interest!😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤FABULOUS WORK!!! WELL DONE!!!

Please please please do not take plus size thrift clothes for cutting down or for the material. It is very hard for plus size people to find decent thrift clothing. Usually a thrift store will have only one plus size rack in the whole store, if that. Leave it for the people who need it.

back in the 1960's we all wore three quarter sleeves on our spring coats and jackets and with those shorter sleeves we wore long gloves this is why your green coat looks that way. Barb

flip your zipper upside down, that way you can fit the top as snug as you want but it's super easy to put on. meaning it zips down instead of up.

Sharing an idea, have you ever considered making a 'beanbag' chair or cushion. You could fill it with your pile so that it has a use while you are storing it. It might work.

Goody good for you. Chalk it all down to "experience". Your own personal experience. Do what makes you very happy girlfriend. 😂❤❤ You did exceptionally excellent! 100 thumbs up to you, a more or less newbie to upcycling clothing you have or thrifted. I have enjoyed this video, and subbed. I will be following you, especially since this is my very first time seeing you here, on KZbin. Isn't YT simply wonderful? Back in the dinosaur days, we older sewists didn't know the word, " upcycle". We simply called it a "rededsign", or a " make over". Nowdays, everybody is "Upcycling" their stuff! Nice. Yea!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤😊😊❤❤❤

Lovely family trip but that was a long drive! What’s not to like about your Wallace and Gromit cracker dish? I love the Aardman films. Gromit’s expressive eyebrows are so funny and cleverly done. Good luck finishing those amazing socks. 👍

I didn't know about the park passports! Ughhhh I've been to so many! The trip looked fun. I love Agatha Christy books, movies. We live in the Peninsula of Lake MI in WI, and I love our beaches (sorry very lovely and sandy) and our lighthouses, we have several like the ones you visited, 3 stories. But we have some that are very tall. Cana lighthouse is the house, then 97 steps up to the walkway. You can see forever up there. I just love touring them all! The clock is cute! The white wool sweater adorable. Thanks for bringing us along! P.s. Don't like lobster either, but bring on the crablegs, shrimp and scallops :)

Yeah I didn’t know they were a thing till someone told me about it either, I definitely think it’s worth getting! I’ve been to Lake Michigan, and it is really beautiful, so I get it!! ❤️
