Making a Patchwork Dress

Using thrifted items that I cut up I made a Pinterest-inspired patchwork dress.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I saw this exact dress on pinterest and loved it so much. Since I am a beginner I didn't think it was possible to make it, since I couldn't find a tutorial that made a similar dress, but now I found one! I am so excited to try it :)

I like this dress idea! I have dropped 40 pounds, with 20 more to go. So, I have clothes in fabrics I like that will never (and I do mean NEVER) fit, again. Here in Florida, flowy skirts and dresses are so good for summer. But it's hard to get one that fits right on my tall, long waisted body. The patchwork idea would let me use fabrics I like and would hide a lot of my sketchy tailoring skills.

I did the exact same thing this week... Sewed a pocket in the back instead of the front... That's what can happen when you get totally lost in the creative process I guess.♥️ Love the dress😊
