Good morning, I'm sorry if this has been asked already or if this comes off as a stupid question, but when you are talking about *cream* vs *milk* are you referring to "heavy cream" ? & Do you recommend mixing the butter at room temperature?
@Jacksonsjob
@Jacksonsjob 3 күн бұрын
Hello NellenelleForSure! All questions are welcome. Heavy whipping cream, light cream, half and half all work very well. They are all versions of some sort of cream and will cut down some of the sweetness better than milk. Room temperature is a bit relative. Some have very cold temperatures in which the butter cannot soften and others have very warm to the point the butter becomes liquid. You want the butter to be softened to the point it is “pliable.” You should be able to push into the butter with your finger and feel just a slight resistance. It shouldn’t be so soft it’s getting liquidy or your finger easily pushes to the bottom without effort and comes out greasy. Butter around 70 Fahrenheit (21C) will give you great results. I hope this helps!

Pl. correct ur printed recipe. It says 4 cups of flour while ur video says 3 cups flour. I followed the printed recipe with 4 cups flour and my bread was too dense with only 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Hello Rosariolarracas4775, Went back to correct the recipe, but it states 3 cups of flour just like the video. Could you link me to where it is saying 4 cups? I can’t find it. In the meantime, I am sorry that happened to you. In fact, made cookies last night and forgot the eggs listed in the recipe and they ended up dense as well.

@Jacksonsjob
@Jacksonsjob 4 күн бұрын
You can add cream cheese to this recipe. It makes it very unique and more tangy, less sweet. A lot like a no bake cheesecakes. You want to softened it and beat until very smooth in a separate bowl. Then mix it in at the very end to avoid lumps. Use 1 block or 8 ounces. Hope this helps!

Well this is great! I love Macrons but the cost of almond flour is ridiculous. Especially, since I have such difficulty whipping egg whites. I learned to wipe down my bowl with vinegar water first. But, I still end up using meringue powder to get them stiff enough. Maybe it's just too humid here. At least, there's a recipe I can practice with... that doesn't break the bank!

I’ve watched that movie so many times. Jessica Tandy is one of my favorite actors of all time and so is Kathy Bates. 2 large eggs ½ cup buttermilk (regular milk works) 1 cup plain or all purpose flour ½ cup cornmeal (sometimes called corn flour) ½ cup bread crumbs (we used to toast bread and crumble it when cool) 1-2 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp cayenne Whisk eggs and buttermilk. Combine cornflour, breadcrumbs and seasoning together and spread on a plate or shallow bowl. Place flour on a separate plate or bowl. Cut tomatoes 2.5 cm thick, coat both sides with flour, dip into buttermilk and eggs, coat with breadcrumb mixture. If you like a thicker coat, redip in milk and then again in breadcrumbs. Fry 180-190C oil until golden brown on each side, about 1-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels or a cooling rack. Serve while still hot. I want to say it’s enough to make 3-4 tomatoes worth of

Hello Nicole, I am the same way with the spring form pans. I just don’t like how the cake turns out. For the sheet cake, make some extra support strips and make them a bit wider than for the circular pans. It will help with leverage and keeping them from cracking as you remove the cake. i need it to be faster and i really want candy
@Jacksonsjob
@Jacksonsjob Ай бұрын
The issue with faster when making hard candies is the fact it often leads to burning, crystallization or both of the candy. Worse, severe burns to your skin and damage to glass stove tops are more likely to occur due to the fact the water will be sputtering, steaming and possibly overflowing as the moisture is driven off the sugar. When it comes to making hard candy, slow and steady is the way to go until you are very experienced AND willing to take a real risk of damage or burns. 🥵 My suggestion if you really want candy and fast, go to the store. Plan to make hard candy on a relaxed day instead. Trust me: you do not want a burn from sugar syrup or steam. 😳🤬👿😤😖🥵🫣 Hope that helps explain why it’s a slow process! 😊
