So we shouldnt receive as much hate as we do. I mean people talk about us as if everything we do is in some bubble that has never happened in any other fan bases. Bills throw snowballs at their players and nobody batted an eye. But EVERYONE remembers an Eagles incident from 1968 where we threw snowballs at a guy who was literally a drunk dude they paraded around as Santa because the real Santa was AWOL. Ignorant take about the Eagles and the 2022 season team. They lost to Mahomes because of the defense. That was the difference. This Eagles team is more disciplined in scheme, in tackling, and in coverage. Saquon is the man, and is this team's MVP. And while it takes a 53 man roster to win a chip, if the Eagles make it happen this season, it will be because of Fangio's defense. Saying things confidently does not take the place of accuracy. Tbh there is a huge difference between the 2022 eagles and the 2024 eagles. In 22 on defense they were completely dependent on getting pressure from the d line and jumping everything and they had huge coverage issues when they cudnt get any pressure(like in the second half of the super bowl). This year they are way better in coverage and less dependent on getting pressure from the d line because they know they can cover and force the qb to throw it short until Jalen Carter or one of the other d lineman gets a sack or the offense makes a mistake. The offense in 22 was amazing but in 23 the coaches didnt understand the offense they were running they were just trying to call the same plays. Jalen has proven in the right offense he can be a top 5 or 6 qb but I feel like he is doing pretty well in the offense he is in now even tho a lot of it isnt what he is the best at running. If Steichen was still the play caller I think Barkley cud have gotten 2000 and Jalen cud have thrown for 4000 still. I like Kellen Moore but I feel the same way about him as I do Joe Brady, they arent really that great of coordinators but they are so much better than the guy they replaced it is making them look good but if u look at Steichen's offense compared to Moore's (other than a few new running concepts) his offense(even for the colts this year) is was better than Moore's. The thing I worry about is can the current eagles coaching staff find weaknesses in the Chiefs defense that Steichen did because Spags is going to do things that don't make sense and you have to make him pay or he won't stop.
@MrBaiyifan8 күн бұрын
Boone is so on point, man. It's pick your poison and daring Jalen to hit that group of receivers (Goedert still is an underrated big-time threat) is just the LESS RISKY proposition. Its not optimal because they dang near won a super bowl -one odd fumble away - without Saquon already.

My goodness, third and two, spread the formation, and either run to Barkley, or QB draw or a quick little pass to the outside, or your TE across the middle, that is like 4 possible options, rather than the entire world knowing what is coming and if someone's footing is not there or someone jumps, its moved back, third and a foot or two, ok but trying to get this yard and a half, with this banged up center, no Nick.

@davidnelson68748 күн бұрын
It’s as if Howie Roseman cheats in the draft. Which of course he doesn’t. The team knows that when massively talented defensive linemen fall in the draft you take them. Then you’ll never ever have to trade for them or sign them in free agency. Another suggestion I would have is to trade veteran players for first round picks to poorly run teams. That is a way to get higher than expected first draft picks in exchange in addition to your own. And don’t be afraid to trade back a little. But be disciplined and don’t trade back to far. Great talent always falls in the draft-always. Then fill in gaps in free agency. Sometimes drafting for need is inevitable but it should be the exception.

In *slight* defense of the Giants, Saquon screwed them over too. He said he wanted to be there for life. He said it wasn't about money. They told him to get a number from the market and come back to them and he signed for more money without giving them a chance. Additionally, Saquon got himself in the best shape of his career this offseason which he would not have done with the Giants. Finally, the Giants could win with Barkley when he was less expensive, not sure they would've been better off paying him even more. The Giants main issue is for over a decade they've refused to just strip everything down and rebuild. Even with losing Saquon and DJ, they made a big move in getting Burns. They're perpetually stuck in this mindset where they think they are close to winning and not in a rebuild mode. If fans truly side with Barkley, rather than bury the Giants they should thank them for freeing him and giving him a chance to play in a Super Bowl. He would not get there as a Giant.
