kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIbJn2qFeJyqbLMsi=0LM6cJLXbSJU0Mfl at first I did my hair exactly like this, then when it got longer I wanted to try this video because I wanted the back of my hair to be layered and I don't know if you believe it, but it was like I had the same hairdresser do it, I am very happy, but every time I cut it, I made the same movement with scissors vertically.

I have extremely baby fine hair in fact most babies have hair thicker than mine! This is the third time I have done this cut to my hair and it is leaps & bounds over anything else i've ever tried. I am 60 now & most all videos or articles I've seen most always show a short cut for mature women! I don't want to give up my length & I adore how this cut makes my hair look! Thank you for sharing this tutorial! ❤️ 💙 💜

You're pushing the hair forwards so much that it makes me wonder what it looks like from the back? Sounds like it'll just kinda have a hole since you've pushed all the hair away from there...

I'm not sure where he sees this is a short shag. The back of the hair is pretty long. I was hoping to see something shorter in the back. I know foe a shag it needs some length, but I think this one is to long.

Right? Art isn't all about the meticulousness or correctness, it's about going with the flow and feel of things.

Thank you, Jake! Actually, the reason 'why' I need to 'DIY' is due to living in S. Korea, where they have amazing stylists. However, when they get to my hair-fine, soft, thin, blonde, and even with translations and pictures-I come out with chin-length hair, a blunt cut, and bangs. (starting with shoulder length) My hair grows slowly, and it has taken me over a year to grow it out! I am excited to try your shag cut, knowing that I will take off what I WANT...and be more in control! You are awesome! Grateful!🥰🥰😇😇

I've been trying to learn how to communicate with my hairdresser better about what I want out of a cut with my side part. Just came from another video where the stylist was being really condescending about how "the customers just don't understand that their layers will never be even from one side to the other if they have a side part" but he was cutting the example mannequin with the hair in a middle part. I'm comforted to know that you CAN ask stylists to cut your hair while it's parted on the side, and if they won't do that then it's more of a skill issue on their side, and I need to find someone else.

Jake, I know this video is almost a year old, but you asked what we would like to see. I don’t know if this is possible, but I would like to see a lightly layered stacked Bob that has plenty of movement tailored for thin hair. Is that possible? Can it be done DIY? Especially sectioning with ponytails? Can you do it?❤ I actually gave myself your shag haircut and loved it, but my hair is longer because I let it grow out and now I like a stacked or a line bob with soft layering. Let’s see what you’ve got!😊❤

I'd love a mullet cut so much. Here though, no one does them. I think they're too scared to do something dramatic.
