How do you prevent lines when using the texturizing shears? Is it because you overdirected the hair when using the thinning shears ?

Jake does a beautiful job cutting the model 's head in a layered cut. Can Sisterlocks be cut that way? I would love my Sisterlocks cut in a sassy layer cut for a 65 year old woman... 11/24/24. Thank you Jake😊

I prefer women to show me how to cut my hair as a woman. Men even rule the haircutting world. :(

Should show how to separate the hair first, it could be easy for you but for someone who’s going do a DIY at first time…

Can you do this on dry hair ?

I actually just like cutting my own hair. Im 45 and haven't dyed or been to a salon in about 6 yrs. Ive always cut my son and husband's hair. I have thick hair and layers help to lighten the weight of my hair and keep the length. I made my cuts on the longer side and ended up with a layered look with fringie bangs. From the back, you just see light layers and it give great movement. From the side and front more drama. I love it and will save this video and subscribe. Thanks for sharing your talent with us DIYers!

Decided today that I needed this cut, only watched this video, major success! Note to self for next time tho, if not doing the bangs, take a shallower front section because it gets close to the jellyfish look if too much hair falls to the front. Overall I LOVE IT!! 🖤

I would love to have this hair cut and do a light perm to give texture and volumen to my hair , my hair is all the way down to my waist straight, I think this will help me to give the illusion that I have more hair because I’m loosing a lot of hair on top of my head. Any recommendations ? Btw I’m 60

The big chunk thinning shear is out of stock. What’s a comparable alternative to try?

I should have watched this before cutting mine. I definitely took off too much fringe for my face shape and features. Here’s hoping it grows quickly. Thanks for the video!

I might try this in the future. But people just don't know how to cut anymore. Hence, my hair is really short on top. I've even sent ur videos to my stylists for instruction of how I want my hair to be cut. Somehow, they always fail. Nobody cross checks either. So nothing blends. I wish I had the means to come to you. Thanks for the info.

I did this on my dry curly/wavy (it's curlier when shorter) hair and it turned out awesome, thank you so much! I'm also broke as heck and autistic and hate going to the salon. Honestly a lifesaver.

I’ve asked several stylist to give this cut and none have come even close! My Mom used to be a hairstylist but she is unable to do my hair anymore due to aging & dementia. I’ve done this cut on myself one time before (a couple years ago) and it’s time to try it again! Thank you for tips and info. 😊

I’m not a hairstylist whatsoever, but I like cutting my own hair and learning things about cutting hair. I like to learn how different cuts and angles effect the hair and how it looks. Great job you’re a gem. Love how you explain things.😅

Your camera person needs to practice on showing the over direction better. Especially on the sides. Which is the most important part of this cut. He just shows the top of the angle of hair your cutting, can't really tell which direction your pulling it because of that. 🙄 Which again is very important. Other than that, awesome tutorial. 👍😁
